During the mid-season hiatus, the Cinemocracy may have traveled
through space and time during Weird Wednesdays but now we're back! In
case you forgot last episode, we took a joyride with The Flight of the
Navigator. Link to this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091059/

The creator of the original music in Flight of the Navigator also created the music for my nomination. I have not watched this movie but I do like James Cameron. I hope he impresses us once again.

My nomination is...

A group of spirited youngsters get more than they bargained for when the space camp they attend becomes all too real with as a result of an accidental shuttle launch!

Featuring Kate Capshaw, Tom Skerritt, Joaquin Phoenix, Lea Thompson, Kelly Preston, Terry O'Quinn, music from John Williams and the French horn skills of Flight Of The Navigator's James Thatcher, it's SPACECAMP.

Joey Cramer also starred in a sweet  Tom Selleck movie called Runaway.  It's a horribad-awesome 80's scifi flick.  Complete with robots (and they are somewhat believable!), cars that drive them selves and bullits that can change their trajectory... like tiny cruse missiles.

Rad movie.

Also, DAT STACHE!

I'm linking "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (spaceship designer), to a STILL
unreleased Marvel superhero movie from 1994. Four astronauts get
zapped with cosmic rays & acquire special powers they use to fight
their arch-enemy Dr. Doom.

Roger Corman's
THE FANTASTIC FOUR
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109770/

IMDb Trivia: "Stan Lee, the creator of the "Fantastic Four", said
that, unknown to its cast and crew, this movie was never intended to
be released, and it was made only because the studio that owned the
rights to make a "Fantastic Four" movie would have lost those rights
if it did not begin production by a certain date."
