The narrative unfolds in a post-apocalyptic world where the Earth has been rendered toxic. O’Dessa, flixtor hq, and her mother are subsistence farmers living in a remote area. Her most treasured item is a guitar bequeathed to her by her deceased father. Following her mother's death, O’Dessa resolves to become a "rambler," traveling from one location to another while performing music. After her guitar is stolen, she journeys to Satylite City, where she encounters and falls for the talented singer and dancer Euri Dervish (Kelvin Harrison, Jr.). Euri is compelled to perform under the oppressive control of the malevolent Neon Dion (Regina Hall), an accomplice of the tyrannical Plutonovich (Murray Bartlett), the city's autocratic ruler. The young couple finds themselves in conflict with Plutonovich, and their only chance of escape lies in O’Dessa reclaiming her guitar and surviving a perilous game show known as “The One.”
