Don Bosco Institute of Communication Arts - DBICA has
pioneered short film festivals in Tamil Nadu, right from 1988 onwards and today
it organizes a number of short film festivals providing platform for short film
makers and young media entrepreneurs to showcase their works; facilitate
interaction, networking and publicity among those in media industry and
creating a lot of awareness among the public. These festivals are conducted in
collaboration with a number of Colleges, NGOs, Media Institutes, Film Festival
organizers and Media personalities.
The event will be held on 17th and 18th
March, 2012 at Abirami Mega Mall, Shree Annai (Chinese Theme Theatre),
Chennai. The two day Film Festival will showcase roughly 30 International
Short Films and 30 National Short Films.
We welcome film-makers, media students, critics, film
theorists, film lovers and all those associated with the production and
business of film and members of the press.
All interested to participate in this film festival are
requested to register for the show/ shows at the Registration Counter of the
festival venue.
