The stars appear on Independence Day, Friday the 15th of August. Salman Khan, known i n the industry for his one-liners and repartees, clearly has a blast with the three young superstars as they play for charity and discuss thei r roles in the much awaited release “Bachna Ae Haseeno”.

The film has already created a serious amount of buzz with its peppy music and fresh look creating a fair amount of intrigue about the storyline as well. Do the stars reveal any of the secrets on the show under pressure from the charming host? What does the host do to surprise and touch Ranbir with a typically generous gesture? And which are the charities for which the stars are rooting and how much are they able to contribute to the ca use close to their hearts? Bachna Ae Haseeno Takes Over the STAR Network

Stars of the Film make presence felt on latest ST AR Plus hit “Aaja Mahi Vey” as well as STAR One show “Zara Nach Ke Dikha”

Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba and Deepika Padukone – the stars of the much-awaited Yash Raj Films release Bachna Ae Haseeno, recently had a taste of reality television when they appeared together on the latest episode of the reality show Aaja Mahi Vey on St ar Plus. The unique dance show features couples 20who are already engaged with the winner getting the wedding of their dreams. Just like the movie Bachna Ae Haseeno, the show celebrates 20the energy, positivity and optimism of youth and young love, as exemplified by the two young hosts of the show, Rahul Vaidya and Vineet Singh. While Rahul is the eternal romantic, Vineet is strongly for being footloose and fancy-free. And all the contestants are young, mostly below 25 years of age with the youngest being only 19. The special episodes with the stars of the film can be seen on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th of August from 8-9 pm on STAR Plus. The cast of Bachna Ae Haseeno will also be seen on another popular dance show, Zara Nach Ke Dikha on STAR One. Airing on Monday 11th August at 9:30 pm, this show pits the boys against the girls and the stars of Bachna Ae Haseeno are a perfect fit in the youthful milieu.

In fact the tie-up between the STAR Network and Yash Raj Films for the release of Bachna Ae Haseeno, is one of the biggest of its kind in recent times. The network is pulling out all the stops to showcase Bachna Ae Haseeno. In addition to the star appearances on the show, the network is creating and airing tune-in promos to these shows featuring the film and its stars and sparing no efforts to mark the significance of these stars – Ranbir, Bipasha, Minissha and Deepika 9 3 coming together on Indian television for the first time. Therefore the promos and the packaging for these shows on the network will take on a Bachna Ae Haseeno look and feel and the making of the film will be aired on the network.

With the undoubted synergies between the vibrancy of the movie and the youth centric content and audiences of the two shows, this is truly a marriage that was made in entertainment heaven. When the future of Indian cinema meets the future of Indian television, it is the audience that comes out the clear winner.

1. What do you think about the music of Bachna Ae Haseeno

Phenomenal, I love the music of Bachna Ae Haseeno.I have done only one film before this and that’s Saawariya, it had a different genre of music it was 20more melodious it was more old world charm kind of music so this is my first commercial album and I am super excited about it. The songs that I like=2 0in the movie are Khuda Jaane, Ahista Ahista and Jogi Mahi is my personal favourite, it’s a screenplay based song I guess when you see the movie you will enjoy the song more these are those rare cases where a song actually takes the movie ahead.

2. What do you think about Vishal Shekhar

I love them and I think they are phenomenal starting from Dus Bahane to Jhankaar Beats 20and a bunch of movies I think they are really 20talented, they have a fresh sound, they have their own distinct style and I think I am really blessed to have music by Vishal-Shekhar in just my second movie .

3. What was it about this film that made you decide to do it

Well I think first and foremost it was the script, I remember i was still working on Saawariya and I wasn’t accepting any movies I was getting a bunch of offers but I just thought that I would wait till the release of the film, then once Siddharth called me and said that Adi wants to meet me so I met both of them and they said that we have this scr ipt and we would like you take a look at it and decide if you want to do it but at the back of mind I was ready to say no but I said to myself tha t I might as well read the script because I was so sure that I would only sign a movie after Saawariya releases so I read the script, it takes me two days to read the script but I just couldn’t put the script of Bachna Ae Haseeno it was really engaging, it was cinematic in just the way it was written. I loved my character and the other characters I also loved how the movie grows. It’s a journey of a boy from age 18 to 30 years and the relationships in his 20life and how he has to find his own redemption in the movie so I think its one of those rare scripts that just happened to come along and I was just lucky to grab it.

4. Can you tell us something about your character in the film

My character is called Raj, he is the quintessential Yash Raj hero. He is a fun loving guy he is mischievous and flirty, vulnerable, unassuming he is a happy go lucky guy who looks naughty and looks that he is all out to kill with his looks but its nothing of that sort he is quite a clut when it comes to dealing with women and at the same time you w ill see a maturity, a character grown from what he is as a personality and to what he has become.

5. What was your experience like working with Siddharth Anand

Siddharth Anand has seen me born, we have been family friends since ages so I was very comfortable with him because he understands me as a person i think it’s very important for a director and an actor to have that kind of a relationship because you know some one’s weakness and strengths you know how a person is going to react to a certain situation and how a person should not react to a certain situation so working with him wa s just awesome. He is such a great guy to be on=2 0the sets with, he loves food which is an added bonus he is always ordering lovely food from different places. As a director he knows what he wants, he is not insecure he want cover his scene from every magnification, every angle he is very clear cut in his head that this is how the scene is written, this is how I see it and this is how I want my actors to perform it. He always give you scope for improvisation and give you scope of adding something to a scene but just collaborating with him has been a wonderful experience and I hope that I get to work with him in the near future.

6. Can you tell us about your experience working with Minissha Lamba

Minissha Lamba is one of the people who wreaks goodness she has no negativity inside her. 20She is very unassuming, she kept to her own on the sets. When Siddharth used to call her for the shots she use to be an avid listener as to what Siddharth wants, she used to be very helpful towards me. I also think there is a void of that Preity Zinta kind of actress in today’s day and age, I think Minissha Lamba fits it perfectly to the “T”. It was great fun working with her and I think she has done a wonderful job she has played an 18 year old and 25 year old so you ca n see the growth in her character too and I am sure you guys are going to love her.

7. Can you tell us about your experience working with Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu is the hottest women on this planet earth. We all were star struck when she was on the set and we all were just taken aback on how hot she is. She is just wonderful and such a great human being. I was lucky enough to strike a really close friendship with her, I used to hangout with her beyond shooting and what she’s done in the film I don’t think any actress could portray this role. She plays the character of Radhika who is a small town girl, it’s a relati onship that I am having with an older women who is older by three to four years and the way she has played it, I don’t want to talk much because=2 0it just takes away from what she has come done and raises to many expectation but I think she has come across all of it and she is wonderful in it.

8. Can you tell us about your experience working with Deepika Padukone

I remember Deepika and me were offered the movie simultaneously together. We started our readings which was back in August 2007 at the same time she was working=2 0in Om Shanti Om and me in Saawariya so we 20have actually seen this movie from its conceiving stage to now when its releasing. Its awesome working with Deepika firstly because she is my girlfriend and secondly she is such a talented actress, she is focused she knows what she wants, she is not one of those who just wants to look glamorous and come on the sets, she focuses on the scene the dialogue and the way the director wants her to do it. People ask me do you have good chemistry with her? I really don’t think I can answer that only after the movie is released and how the audience to react to it is when you can say a couple has a chemistry or not so I await that and I hope people 20like our work and pairing together. She plays Gayatri in th e movie and she has done a great job too.

9. Can you tell us something about working with Aki Narula and yo ur styling in the film

Aki Narula is a rage right now in the industry because of his work. The distinct look that he has given all the characters is unbelievable if you see the film you will wonder how come a designer can have so much of range where his texture is concerned his colours are concerned and his styling is concerned. He is not the kind of designer who will just send clothes to the set, he will be there on the set he will wait for you to wear your clothes he wi ll make minor adjustments maybe to a collar or to a sleeve which makes a load of difference. He is very talented and I am just going to put it in my contract 20that in every film I do Aki Narula comes with me.

10. Can you tell us about the experience shooting the song Khuda Jaane/Ahista Ahista and Bachna Aee Haseeno

Khuda Jaane is a romantic song we shot at a bunch of wonderful locations in Italy. The entire idol of the song was me dressed in white because the character has found Nirvana because of his love for=2 0Gayatri the character. The entire song is done in isolation you want see any other character/person in any frame of the song so I think it’s a good response.

Ahista Ahista is a song picturised on Minish a Lamba and me. It’s the first song in the movie, it’s a very young song full of energy we both are 18 year old and driving around on a bike in Switzerland seeing these wonderful places and meeting wonderful people and its sung by Lucky Ali who is one of my absolute favourites so it was great lip syncing to his sound and it is another one of my personal favourite from the movie because it is a kind of a song which you can play in a lounge, car in the club it has a very loungy and relaxed feel. Ahmed Khan has done a great job he is just phenomenal the way he is done all the songs I have to give it to him for his vision, the way he has choreographed and the way he has asked us to 20portray certain expressions is just fantastic. If people like these songs its 50 percent credit to Ahmed Khan and 50 percent to Siddharth Anand.

Bachna Aee Haseeno is a music video the song is a remix of my father’s old song Bachna ae Haseeno from Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin so there was always a bit of a nostalgic feel to it. It was wonderful shooting that song, we shot the song for four days. It was the first time that I actually worked with the three beautiful ladies on one single day. I was like the=2 0cool dude on the sets that day wooed by these unbelievably beautiful women so it was great experience. It wreaks a lot of goodness, fun, young and hip and I hope you 20guys like it.

11. Can you tell us something about the shoot experience in Italy

I have been to Italy for the first time we went to Venice,Puglia and bunch of other places. The people there are just wonderful, the food is great the entire culture is so good. The Italian crew that we worked with weren’t fussy and were very comfortable and professional.

12. What was it like=2 0working in a multi starrer

I think i am the constant factor in the movie. It’s my chara cter which meets all the other wonderful characters in that journey so working with them and growing the character has been a wonderful experience. I have truly been blessed to have played this character, to have lived as Raj to have met these beautiful ladies to have worked with them and to have realized a lot of things in my life because this character teaches you a lot. The film is not being modestic it is a quintessential Yash Raj movie so it’s not professing, it’ s not trying to push morals at you. It is one of those films where you really have a good time watching it where the first half will bring a smile to your face and the second half will bring a smile and a tear to your face so hopeful ly you guys will go thru these emotions that I went thru while shooting this movie.

13. Any one memorable incident that comes to your mind during the shoot of the film

Honestly there was not one fun memorable day because everyday was fun and memorable and not just on set when we were traveling, when we were on outdoor we all got along famously with each other we use t o hangout, play pranks, have wonderful food. I think this movie has a r ecord of traveling to so many places we started in Amritsar we shot in Bombay we went to Australia, Sydney, Switzerland, Zurich, Rapperswilll then we went to Italy, Venice and C apri which is one of the nicest places I have seen and I strongly recommend anyone on a honeymoon to go there. Everyday has been memorable so I am going to miss the entire cast and crew and the production because it’s been the great time of my life.

< TBODY>

1. What do you think about the music of Bachna Ae Haseeno? Which is your favourite track?

The music of Bachna Aee Haseeno is fantastic, it is very fresh it goes with the flavour of the film. The title track is one of my f avourite after that I love my song Lucky Boy,there is also Aahista Aahista which has a very different kind of melody then there is Khuda Jaane which has interesting lyrics. This is a kind of an album wh ere I like to listen to it on the whole, once I play it I listen to it continuously.

2. What was it about this film that made you decide to do it ?

I think the narration and once I had read the script, I knew that this something that I wanted to do. For a long time I have not seen very good romantic comedies and I have not been a part of a romantic comedy and there=2 0was kind of 20freshness to the script and to the characters especially the girls, each girl has a original kind of characterization and all the girls have something that every girl can relate to, there was a kind of rea l flavor that this film was providing at the same time it had all the entertainment values that one will look for when one goes to watch a film I guess that’s the reason I decided to do this film.

3. Can you tell us something about your character in the film ?

My character Radhika is a girl who is a dancer by profession struggling to become an actor, struggling to make a mark i n the field of acting. Radhika is a girl of today she has an ambition yet she has all the wishes that a girl has she wants to be in love, wants to always be there for a lover, She looks at marriage 20and settlement, every girl will be able to identify with Radhika ,she wants to be someone and yet love means alot for her so there is this balance she is fun, she is emotional and she has a heart of gold .She dresses like any other young girl of today, she is very modern and very fit. Aki has given me a very colourful look at the same time because she is very fit and athletic she wears a lot of shorts and hot pants but there is nothing really matching to her clothes like the color o f her T-shirts c ould be completely different from her shorts at times it could be absolutely contrast the kind of footwear she wears and the interesting jewellery she wears is not matched at all, it’s a complete break from the conventional way of dressing which used to happen in the films earlier. In this film my character in particular wears everything that is mismatched. My hair in the film is coloured red and it’s always unkempt and not set ever, so Radhika is this young girl who knows she looks good but she doesn’t put in too much effort in putting herself together so she is basically a fun kind of character.

4. What was your experience of workin g with Siddharth An and like?

Siddharth Anand at his first appearance he looked very prim and proper and a director who knows what he wants and when I st arted working with him on the film I knew that he was a director who is very clear, he knows how each character boy or girl had to react to certain situations, there were never any questions on the sets which were not answered. A very clear director, but a lot of fun. The serious look that he had on the very first day completely went away when we started shooting, we were like friends on sets, we were having a great time joking on the sets it never felt like we were working, this=2 0film has been a ple asant experience for me.

5. Can you tell us about your experience working with Ranbir Kapoor ?

My first impression of Ranbir is that he is the nicest man, nicest hero I have ever met with no tantrums, he is a star kid but he was not pampered on the sets, he was very well behaved and very nice with his cues and his timings. It took me a while to understand Ranbir because he is such a good actor, he is great with his expressions, he listens and he communicates with you. After two/three days of shooting I really saw the mad side of Ranbir and that is the fun side 20that is what I connec t with as a co-star. I really think he is completely adorable, what he is like in person I think a lot of it will come out in Bachna Ae Haseeno and I sometimes feel that he takes his character too seriously but he is a fantastic co-star it doesn’t feel like he has done only one film before this because he has great knowledge about film making so its fun to chat with him about films and he is basically a blast. In this film my interaction amongst the actors was only with Ranbir and it was a fun all through.

6. Can you tell us about the experience shooting the song Lucky Boy ?

Well Lucky Boy happened at a very difficult time for me because I had just come back from shooting another film in Bangkok. I actually had a tear in my left knee, I was in extreme pain and it was a dancing song so I am going to remember this song for ever. It was the first day of shooting I had to wear high heels and do some intricate steps but I guess the song was so good and the energy of making the song was so good I guess I forgot my pain and I continued doing it and it’s turned out to be pretty neat. I got a lot of complements for it so I think the efforts that I put behind it was good fun though there was not much of Rehearsals for thi s song I think Ahmed Kh an has done a good job and we have managed to pull it off well.

7. Can you tell us something about the shoot experience in Ital ?

Italy means most romantic place, most exquisite looking people, impeccably dressed very refined taste and great food. We went to Capri first and we were staying at this most exquisite hotel JK palace and luckily I got the best suite it was overlooking the water, the land it was the most gorgeous view, it had like one big balcony and two small balconies and I was so feeling like a princess. Ranbir also got an equally good room but he didn ’t get the view that I got. After Capri we went to Rome, we traveled a lot we went to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Collosseum, Pantheon ate a lot of food, lot of cheese, lot of lovely salads, fish, pasta and pizza .The shopping was really expensive even though I shopped but in limitations but I think we have captured the whole experience really well in our film, this particular part of my story was required to be shot there. I guess people will have a good time seeing Italy in our film.

8. What was it like working in a multi starrer film ?

When we shot the music video that was the only time when I got to meet Deepika and Minissha, That one day of interaction was good fun. It’s always fun when you have all the actors working together. I love doing Multi starrer films because I think each individual gets some kind of area of interest for the audiences so for me when I see a Multi starrer film I actually enjoy watching it.It was fun interacting and dancing with everyone. The girls are great and they have done their job well and all of them are pretty much new comers, they are very fresh and very confident even though I have been in lots of films it does not look like that, it’s all blended in beautifully, it does not look like somebody is new and somebody has been there for years its all been very we ll taken care by Siddharth Anand and the stylist. Its good fun that we were all together.

9. Any one memorable incident that comes to your mind during the shoot 20of the film ?

What’s important in this film at the end of the day everyone got so comfortable with each other there is a kind of a friendship that you are taking back it’s not only being a co-star or working with a particular director and the team .I guess there is a kind of liking you have towards these people now and it will last forever, I think that’s what is important and it does not happen I n every film where you like=2 0the entire set of people you work with and you get along with the entire team and you have the same kind of thinking and I think that’s what is important in this film I had many pleasant memories I ca nt pick out on one because each day was fun.

1. What do you think about the music of Bachna Ae Haseeno ?

The music of Bachna Ae Haseeno is extr emely young, it’s peppy. The music is composed by the music director duo Vishal-Shekar they are fantastic because they have a sound that’s young, peppy and fresh. My songs in the film are Aahista Aahista and Jogi Mahi, Aahista Aahista it has this lovely sound track and me lody shot entirely in Switzerland, its when I am seventeen years old its first love for me, it personifies everything that is first love that is fresh, young, happy and new to you. It’s got a beautiful melody to it, Lucky Ali is one of my favourite singers and he has given the voice to Ranbir, the track is just beautiful, its something that you must listen to. The other song of mine in the fi lm is Jogi Maahi it’s a song tha t comes later in the film, its more of a screenplay in a song, sort of a narrative that talks about the situation of the characters are in, it has a nice Punjabi beat to it, the lyrics are very fable which I don’t think we have heard from a long time in Hindi movies now it is going back to a sort of classic module which are songs use to be like but in a very modern, refreshing beat that is thumping, that is live and beats down upon you and leaves you remembering this song. The title track of the film Bachna Aee Hasseno which features all of us, it’s a foot thumping number, it’s a classic revisited and it is something that I am sure is going to catch on.

2. What is your favourite track from the film ?

My favourite track from the film is going to be mine because you hear it so many times and get it in your system, you have fallen in=2 0love with it even if it’s not the best track it is the best track for me so that would be Aahista Aahista and the title track of Bachna Aee Haseeno.

3. What was it about this film that made you decide to do it ?

I loved the story, I loved the fact that i t was a beautiful love story and I loved 20the fact that I was playing two different characters. I play a seventeen year old who falls in love for the very first time, a girl for whom love means everything and I think at that age when you are seventeen a lot of us grow up feeling that way, feeling that love is everything 20we all can’t wait to fall in love and wait to find that perfect man of our dream so this is essentially every girls first love and first heart break that they go through so I think a lot of girls will end up reliving their first love that they go through so that was a very touching part about the character of Mahi, ofcourse the transformation that she goes through afterwards which y ou see later on in the film so it is a 20character where you play a seventeen year old and then you play someone later on whose been through some stuff in life so that’s what was really interesting about the character, you get to see completely different sides of her in the film

4. Can you tell us something about your character in the film ?

My character is Mahi and we see Mahi in two different phases of her life we see her as this young seventeen year old who’s going out into the world and cant wait to fall in love and find her perfect match, she is the complete Mills &a mp; Boons character who has grown up on a s taple diet of Mills & Boons read them secretly at home without her parents knowing about it and discusses meeting her ideal man with her cousins who she is very close to and how she finds her first love, its her dream come true and later on in life you see her in a complete d ifferent situation six-years down the years where she is married and she has children and how life has gone a complete 180 degree turn for her from this happy girl who believed in love to a women who is married and only believes that her function in life is to be a dutiful wife, a dutiful mother, a dutiful daughter in-law a perfect housekeeper and a perfect women to her man and her c hildren where something like love is completely cu t off from her life and her existence and how one incident in life or how one major catastrophic incident in life enables changing a person’s world view that’s what Mahi is all about and its bit sweet in a way because you feel for her because she is started off as a char acter that’s completely different and when you see her at the end of the film you feel this whole sense of immense wastage of so much time that is wasted over cutting out love from your life and you feel the angst that she has gone through that a scar has left upon her when she was very young, I think everyone has gone through it we all change when we are scared very young in life and that’s what changes people 20and this is how this character changes, Mahi changes from this person who loves being in Love to someone who completely shunts it in her live and who lives a sort of emotionally robotic life.

5. What was your experience like working with Si ddharth Anand ?

Siddharth is fantastic to work with he has made great films, he’s made Salaam Namaste which I loved as a film he made Tara Rum Pum it was great watching it because we haven’t tackled subjects like that out here, to make a film like Bachna Ae Haseeno w hich is again a young love story it was fantastic, 20Siddharth was casual on the sets he knows exactly what he wants, we are having fun on the sets while shooting w are still making great scenes so he is very clear about what he wants, it wasn’t like a director-actress relationship it was like we are all friends out there because we a re all the same age group. It felt like we were making a project together and the energy of the set was up,fun and young so working with Siddharth really interesting.

6. Can you tell us about your experience working with Ranbir Kapoor ?

Working with Ranbi r was fabulous, He is thorough gentleman everyone would have said that about him. Very well spoken, very well read he is someone who is well informed about what’s happening around him. He makes sure that his world is much more then just films so that way he is a very grounded young man, extremely talented and he’s fitted into his rol e, he’s playing roles that are of various age groups in the film from a young boy till he is about thirty so he’s fitted into that very well from his mannerism to his looks to his dressing to his body language he has just got into the skin of the character so well. we are young in our part and honestly while shooting we felt like we were seventeen we we re doing stuff that we did when we were seventeen l ike going on rollercoaster rides and sneaking up and eating chocolates and ice-creams for our shots in the film so it was fun.He is really a lovely humanbeing to work with and extremely talented and he is definitely at the top.

7. Can you tell us 20something about working with Aki Narula and your styling in the film ?

Aki Narula is fantastic, he has given my character such distinct looks because I am playing a seventeen year old girl who is from Amritsar, the time frame is about 1996-1997 he has made the character look a bit modern in her=2 0dressing without loosing on the authenticity of the time 20period that she is and the age that she is playing therefore I love the colours that Aki has worked with, he has used bright colours and fun cuts and fun pattern and texturing for the look of my character. He has styled another look for me which comes later in the film, which is an Indian l ook and I just love his attention to detail, his attention to form and colour it is something that he is very good at,he has chosen bright colours for me which I love wearing and the character is Punjabi so therefore the bright colours do not make her loud but they just makes her fresh and endearing.

8. Can you tell 20us something about the shoot experience in Switzerland

My portions were shot in Switzerland,The chapter where Mahi is young where she meets Raj on a typical Euro Train journey. We shot in fantastic locations in Switzerland we shot in which is a world famous Skiing town we shot in Zuri ch and Rapunzel. We shot in Glacier 3000 it is freezing cold, I was freezing to death wearing thinnest of cotton I think after sometime its all about your mind conquering your body so you don’t think about the cold my body had become zero degrees but I was able to function. I was in this two seater rollercoaster we are going all over the place and the wind is 20whipping into you at a speed of 70km per hour and its cold icy wind whipping at you but then these are great experiences but the fact that they are experienced under such challenging situations that’s when they count the most and they are memorable to you.

9. Any one memorable incident that comes to your mind during the shoot of the film ?

The memorable incident is this on the Rollercoaster where Ranbir and me were sitting, it was a two seater rollercoaster and if you saw it you would think that no way I can sit on it, I would topple over because the ramp that it was on was less then 2 feet wide and you think is this thing going to stay or no? So you are on it, you just let go and the thing whizzes down it seems to never end and you are screaming on top f your lungs .

1. What made you decide to do this film ?

Siddharth called me up sometime before my first film Om Shanti Om released and he said that there was this script he wanted to narrate to me and when I met Siddharth it was so exciting that I think I said ‘yes’ to the film that very second and Siddha rth was like do you want to take three/four days off, do you want to thin k about it and then come back. This is not something that I really wanted to think about the minute he gave me a narration and he told me about my bit in the film is something that I was really sure of and something that i wanted to do and it is something that I was really excited especially because it being my second film.

2. Which is your favourite song in the film ?

My favourite song from Bachna Ae Haseeno is Khuda Jane because I love the lyrics and I love the way it is shot and s omewhere its very true the way I feel as well so that’s on of my fav ourite track and apart from that I like the title track of Bachna ae Haseeno which I think is a great remix and I think Vishal and Shekhar have done a fantastic job.

3. Vishal-Shekhar have done the music for your previous film also, can you tell us something about the range of music they do ?

Vishal and Shekhar have did the music for my first film as well and they are extremely talented, the kind of music they have catered for both the films, they are so different, the first one being very retro in terms of music=2 0and the second one being so modern yet in terms of lyrics and tunes it is so mething I would listen to even 10 years down the line so their music I think is very soulful and touching am very fond of their kind of music in particular.

4. Can you tell us something about the character you play in the film ?

I play the character of Gayatri who lives independently yet at the same time she is traditional in a certain way she is someone who believes in herself and is a very confident and beyond that she is also a very emotional person.

5. Can y ou tell something about your look in the film and your experience of working with Aki Narula ?

It’s been great working with Aki Narula, I have always known Aki when I was in the fashion industry I have done a lot of ramp shows for him it’s nice to know this side of him, the kind of styling he is done for the film is very trendy yet caters to the Indian cinema and what the audiences are looking for these days so it’s been great working with him and more than anything I think he is a fantastic human being and it’s just great having him around on the sets. I think the kind of clothes that he has given my c haracter is very interesting, it’s something that has been done before. The kind of style and silhouette is new and different and we hope it works.

6. Can you tell us something about your shoot schedule in Italy ?

Italy was great fun it was 10 days of shooting this lovely romantic song in these bea utiful locations. I don’t think I would have discovered this beautiful place had we not shot this song there and now since we have discovered it, its a place I would like to go there for a holiday or honeymoon there. It’s a beautiful place, untouched and so pure and the most exci ting part of shooting this song was that we would shoot everyday and travel in the evening to another location set up in the next place and shoot again the whole day, I don’t think anyone has ever travelled so much to shoot one song.

7. Can you tell us something about your experience working with Minissha and Bipasha ?

This film in particular doesn’t really have interaction with three of the other girls, so I have not interacted much with Bipasha or Minnisha accept when we shot the music video but they are great girls and hopefully the three of us have been able to contribute enough for Ranbir’s film.

8. Can you tell us something about your experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor ?

Ranbir is a great co-star, he is really fun to work with he is someone I have learnt a lot from. I think considering that this is just his second film I think he has had a lot of training and 20experience and he has been able to teach me a lot, at the same time I noticed that he has this kind of equation with Siddharth where he and Siddharth go back and forth on certain ideas and sometimes it is used and sometimes it’s not used but the fact that he is just so creative an d his mind is thinking all the time, is great working with him.

9. What was it like working with Yash Raj Films ?

It is a dream come true, I didn’t think so early in my career I would get to work with such a big production house. It’s been an absolute pleasure and i a definitely looki ng forward to doing more films with them.

10. Can you tell us about any one memorable incident during the shoot of the film ?

For me the most memorable incident was the shooting of the song 20Khuda Jaane. We were shooting at Puglia and Ranbir and me had to stand on=2 0this rock in the middle of the water so we had to go in this little speed boat, both of us were dropped of there and the boat had to leave because otherwise it would be in the frame. It was the most unreal experience because you have this beautiful clean water with three different shades and with just the two of us standing there and wonderin g whether something is just going to come out from under the water like a water snake or some scary spooky thing like that, but it was just unreal. When you see the song you will know what I am talking about.
