Sanatan Sangeet Sanskriti is delighted to invite you to the 7th edition of Words in the Garden - a festival celebrating literature, arts, and ideas. This annual event will take place from 27th February to 1st March 2025 at the C.D. Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre, New Delhi.
This year’s theme, "Ancient Soul & Global Heart: Delhi’s Living Heritage" reflects the city’s deep-rooted cultural legacy and its evolving global identity. Over the years, Words in the Garden has explored diverse aspects of Delhi’s essence, from Meer Ki Dilli and Ghalib Ki Dilli to Dilli Ki Sanskriti. This year, the festival will continue its tradition of thought-provoking discussions, literary dialogues, music recitals, and performances, bringing together distinguished voices from literature, the arts and public life.
Festival Highlights
- Panel Discussions – Exploring Delhi’s cultural and historical significance, the role of AI in heritage preservation, and how performance arts shape the city’s social fabric.
- Book Discussions – Featuring celebrated authors Mr Vir Sanghvi, Mr Vikas Swarup, and Mr William Dalrymple in conversation with leading journalists.
- Performing Arts – A Kathak recital by Padmashree Ragini Maharaj and a Retro Bollywood music performance by Ms Aarushi Bhargava.
- Sanatan Sangeet Puraskar 2025 – Honouring distinguished contributors to literature, journalism, and the performing arts.
