Dear friends:
Hope you have had a chance to go through the request letter sent by Vande Mataram Foundation (VMF) and forwarded to you by Greater Cincinnati Telangana Association (GCTA), requesting financial help for running the intensive coaching camp for SSC students from government high schools in warangal region, belonging to financially backward community. VMF has plans to extend this service to other districts of Telangana. VMF has been running this camp for past several years for more than 400 students for 45 days, providing boarding, lodging and excellent educational coaching to prepare them for SSC exams. The results of their effort have been very encouraging and many of the students from these camps got an opportunity to attend premier institutes for higher education, and to choose good career paths in their life.
The service being provided by VMF has been commended and endorsed by several eminent people and organizations.
The camp was getting major financial support from Dr R. Ashok Reddy of Houston, TX, USA for past several years and due to a personal tragedy in Dr Ashok Reddy's life, he is unable to extend financial help anymore. VMF is therefore, seeking help from other sources, individuals and organizations like GCTA.
Since the services being provided by VMF are inline with the goals of GCTA to get involved in community service in Telangana region, and to give back to the land we came from, GCTA has decided to appeal to the Telangana community in Greater Cincinnati region to support this cause and to come forward to donate to extend financial help. No amount is a small amount.
GCTA has been granted Tax exemption status for donations made to this organization and you can write checks (please indicate "for VMF" in the memo area of the check) in favor of GCTA, and deposit in your nearest US bank with its account number as 130121994367. Alternatively GCTA representatives will be available at Mason library between 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday February 06, 2016 to collect your checks, or a GCTA representative can pick up the check at your door at a date and time convenient to you. A receipt from GCTA will be mailed to you before end of tax year for claiming tax exemption for the amount donated.
