Hi guys,

Would anyone be down for an in depth highly awesome POSIX meetup? Basically, exploring the POSIX standard, hacking C libraries, how a POSIX operating system works (like OSX, linux), etc. My brother in law is a super C hacker and expressed interest in sharing some of his knowledge. To give you an idea of his expertise, he's been working on an operating system from scratch for the past several years as a hobby and does all kinds of magical crazy C wizardry for his day job.

What other groups would be interested in this?

Sincerely,
Blaine Booher

I for one am always interested in hearing someone cool talk about programming stuff, even if it's not related to the group.

I'm thinking I could just make a separate one-time event, just not sure who to throw it under.

Awesome, thanks Chris. Let me think about when a good date would be and get back with you. What would be a good meeting place?
