POSITION SUMMARY: Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate software
and systems to implement innovative, effective solutions. This Project
Engineer will be working cross functionally with product/package development
engineers. The Engineer will be asked to think beyond current requirements to
anticipate future and/or unmet needs and proactively offer creative
solutions.

Duties:
|
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
*Troubleshoot and debug software programs utilizing a logic based approach
ensuring the determination and resolution of problem root cause.
*Use mind mapping techniques to chart out functionality of processes with
interlinking dependencies to other processes.
*Provide effective solutions to problems raised by clients and/or encountered
during testing.
*Robustly test developed software applications for all possible usage
scenarios and make adequate changes when required.
*Maintain the developed software application by correcting defects and
updating it with the latest developments.
*Manage information, communications and work flow amongst various teams
enabling seamless and collaborative development activities.
*Design and develop analytical problem solving software for product/package
development engineers.
*Clarify and communicate deliverables, objectives, milestones and results
with engineers, developers, users, and other project stakeholders.
*Use logical reasoning skills, with an approach based on a good understanding
of algorithms, for task management, problem solving and resolution.
*Ensure client requirements are met.
*Provide informational reports, guidelines, and/or specifications as
requested
*Ensure efficient user interface development and inclusion of possible usage
scenarios
*Will be assigned to other duties and projects as necessary.

Qualifications:
|
*Required - Skill with Python, ABAQUS, LS-Dyna
*Required - B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, and/or/Computer Science.
MS Preferred
*Required - Experience with different operating systems and platforms
*Required - Experience planning, designing, evaluating, and testing software
*Required - Experience identifying root causes of problems
*Plus - Experience within Qt development environment is a plus
*Plus – Experience working with product or packaging development engineers
*Plus - Experience with CAE, Nonlinear Finite Element Modeling
*Plus- Experience working with product or packaging development engineers
*Plus - 2 (two) years’ experience with Project Management in S/Ware
Development

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
• Programming Knowledge using C/C++, Java, and Python and knowledge of their
practical applications
• Working knowledge of VTK
• Open cascade experience is a plus
• Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering and physics principles
• Project Management skills are a must
• Microsoft Office tools
• Basic understanding of SQL database and its structure
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and simulation software design
• Quality testing and improvement processes for software
WORKING LOCATIONS/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
• Cincinnati based position
• Office locations of client and Axiom
• May be up to 15% travel
