Dear singers,
This coming Sunday, June 9, we are planning to sing from 3 to 5 at an alternate outdoor location. The weather forecast is "mostly sunny with a high of 78". If this changes, and rain is expected, we will sing indoors at St John's Unitarian as usual.
We will send you an email early Sunday morning confirming the location. (We will also post confirmation of location on facebook and on our website.)
The outdoor location is the same one where we sang during the pandemic. We sing on the veranda which has an overhanging roof and wonderful acoustics. It is shady and open to breezes. Please bring a chair and your water bottle in addition to your Sacred Harp and Shenandoah Harmony (we will bring some loaners of both books.)
Here is the link to the Bettman Nature Preserve with a picture of the building with the veranda as it looks from the parking lot, and a map and directions to get there. (Beech Lane looks almost like a driveway.)
It is just off of Madison Road between Hyde Park and O'Bryonville.
Apologies to anyone who has seasonal allergies and can't sing outdoors. We hope you will sing with us again when we are indoors at St John's. The outdoor location makes it possible for those of us who have compromised immune systems to sing with the group again - at least when weather allows.
Don't forget to check your email Sunday morning!
I look forward to singing with you this Sunday!
Debbie
