Need singers fast !

Asking for help: We need some singers on this coming Sunday afternoon at 5:15 PM. Sorry for such extremely short notice.

Rich Overturf and I are presenting a 75 minute ‘Sacred Harp Workshop’ at Queen City Balladeers’ LEO Coffeehouse in Norwood. We will deliver some history of the tradition and explain some info on how a Singing works, then do a brief Singing with some simple tunes from the Red Book. Event will be very loose, very informal, with Q & A throughout the workshop.

The 10-20 attendees will be folk musicians of all experience levels, most of whom ‘know music’ but do not know shape note/Sacred Harp singing.

Following our workshop, LEO Coffeehouse offers their regular 3 performances from 6:40-9:00 PM by local (or touring) musical groups with wide-ranging genres. Their offerings are shown at bottom of this request.

3RD SET - ANNA AND THE DEEPER WELL

They started as the father-daughter-duo Anna and Milovan. The group has been playing for over ten years in the Greater Cincinnati area. In 2012 they added Anna's husband, Luke Moderwell, to the band. Their music contains an eclectic mix of  blues, jazz, folk, originals, and pop
