Intro to FP (now with 100% more JavaScript)

Abstract: Ever wonder what all the fuss around FP is about? Or how many tears it takes for me to write JavaScript? Then come to my talk as I introduce three foundational concepts of functional programming. Afterwards, we'll see how to apply those concepts as we refactor some JavaScript code without tooling!

About the speaker: Ben Kyrlach is a huge nerd with a lot of passion for Functional Programming. Currently trying to solve tough problems at Dayton based startup, Tangram Flex. When he's not programming (or staying up way too late playing video games), he loves to play musical instruments and dream of writing his own video game someday.
