I will be speaking this Tuesday about some of the systems I have been building at GuaranteedRate.

Expecting Failure - Building resilient systems with Clojure(Script) in serverless world

In this talk we will look at what it takes to build "resilient" systems using Clojure and serverless architectures. We will talk about what makes a system resilient and how embracing the idea that things will fail leads us tackle problems in different ways. We will talk about the spike problem and how latency is really the only measure of success. We will look at some real world examples that show off the joys and challenges of writing this type of software in a language like Clojure.
