I'm planning to prepare a talk on some of the lessons I've learned about memory management and performance when creating client-heavy applications with Backbone and Spine for this Wednesday.  Specifically, you'll hear about

* How memory leaks commonly occur in Backbone Apps
* How to effectively debug these problems with Chrome's Timeline and Profile tools
* Strategies for rendering views to make sure your app stays fast and delivers a good user experience

Having some experience with Backbone or a similar client-side framework will help, but I'll give a brief overview of some major concepts before diving into details. Let me know if this sounds interesting and if there are any specific topics you would like me to research and touch on.

Wish I could make it out there. Too far to drive for lunch!

Is this still a lunch time meeting?  I know the location has moved from the (now defunct) cincy coworks space.  Has the time also changed?

I've got four to six people coming with me from my office.  How's the capacity of the new location? Do we need to RSVP or anything?  And I know in the past lunch has been provided, should we make plans to get lunch before hand or afterwards (we're driving up from downtown) so we need to make sure we have time.   Speaking of time,  what is the start time?  I don't think I've seen that listed anywhere.

thanks,
Tad

Relavent to the talk -- Backbone View now runs a dispose method on remove() that will remove bindings to @model and @collection for a view:
