Open Shop 101 is on again for tonight, roughly 6:00 to 8:30pm. Come
down to the HIVE, hang-out with other builders and maybe pick up some
new skills or get some project advice.
Currently planned activities include a very informal wood shop
tutorial project to make an angle plate for the bandsaw. Techniques
in "planning for precision" as well as table saw and radial arm saw
procedures for general ripping, cross-cutting, and making well-fitting
dado-joints will be shown with opportunities for hands-on practice.
Other parallel work includes further progress on makerbotting further
refinements of the Cin-D LOU eyeball socket parts, perhaps more
woodwork on the Cin-D LOU laptop stand, and whatever personal projects
folks bring in.
Hoping to see the HIVE busy making pleasant noises tonight...
