See below discussion with RedBearLab on their BLEShield Simple Control
SDK. See me at the meeting tonight if you have an interest to provide
some s/w development help make a compass rotation and distance
traverse application to get CinD-LOU rolling for the upcoming mini
Maker Faire.

Hi Jim,

Please take a look at the SimpleControl sample in our SDK,
https://github.com/RedBearLab/Release/tree/master/BLEShield. It
include the source code of a sample iOS App and a corresponding
Arduino sketch which should give you an idea of how to develop the
functions you mentioned.

Best regards,

Hello,

I am member of Cincinnati Hive13 hackerspace. We are making a CinD-LOU
house bot on a motorized wheelchair chassis. I bought your BLE shield
and it worked easy enough, as advertised, to operate LEDs and R/C
servos well, thank you! We're now ready to try the next step.

We'd now like to consider to make a custom iOS app (?) that passes on
command the iPhone compass heading (0-360 deg) number and a selected
distance number via the BLE link to the Arduino to command a matching
about-center rotation and traverse motion of the physical two-wheel
robot (and then more such). I've not yet written an iPhone app.

Is the iOS framework included in your sdk the way to go to as a beta
test newbie? Any encouragement this is an achievable goal? Any
starting advice? Thanks!

Jim
