Who is the President or guiding leader?  It was Barb Rothwell at one time and was an active group then. As a dietitian that works with individuals who have celiac, I like to provide places for support like this group but have wondered about the status.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say possibly it fell apart because it really has gotten easier to be gluten free than when most of us started years ago.  Of course it would still be a help to newly diagnosed people. And it is always good to share new information even for us veterans

Cassandra,

You could always volunteer to take it over and bring it back.

I’ve missed the  the support even though I’ve been celiac for years. There’s always new info to share and new places to suggest to eat. I’d be happy if someone picked it up again.

Sheryl and I have been doing this for years and lately we have gotten very little interest in the group. We used to do,a lot of events and get togethers, but now with the I,nternet. Many do not seem to have the need for this group any longer. We are always here if you gave questions or need guidance, I am always willing to meet with anyone if they want help or need help.  Thank you all for all the years when we were one of your only sources for information,. But I am still here for whoever may need help. Stay healthy each and everyone of you

A question for the group. Has anyone found “GOOD” gluten free pasta.  Trying to re-make a family recipe into gluten free.
Thanks!

Hi, I really like Jovial brand pasta, especially the egg noodle pasta, but all of them are good to me . I find them at Kroger and Jungle Jim’s. Happy cooking!

Seapoint Farms has a great Edamame pasta that will be in Kroger late summer/early fall. My husband has made some great dishes with it!

I also like like Ancient Harvest brand.

I like Cybel’s better than regular pasta. You can find at Kroger. They have one with sweet potatoes, beets and more and another with lentils, kale, broccoli and spinach. They have better nutrition than other pasta varieties as well.

Yes, the group used to be very active, but like Barbara said interest seemed to go by the way.  I did a newsletter for the group for awhile.  We had a number of different events and it was a lot of hard work for those in the leadership role.  It is good Barbara is there to help anyone who needs it.  I hope everyone is doing well.
