Mary Beth Knight, host of Fit Revolution, is featuring celiac disease
from 10am until 11am on WCKY 1530AM. I was invited to be part of the
panel discussion, and we are having Dr. Jonathan Kushner call in and
she'll have a couple more people - perhaps a nutritionist and another
celiac. I think there will be a call in section of the show too.
Wow - two local media events in one week! Cincinnati must be starting
to take notice.

Ihave been eating Johnsonville beddar with cheddar.Ijust wandered about them. Also I miss mushroom soups to fix alot of things.I really would like to have the banana bread recipe too.I just to without because I don't know what to use.Ihaven't had a piece fo toast since I was diagnosed.(4 years) .I would like to become active with the group but I live pretty far away and my husband has had some health problems and I have been busy with him. I guess I'm lazy just wanted some tried and true recipes.

Progresso has a cream of mushroom soup that is GF. You will have to adjust your recipes though because is not concentrated. I also have a cream of "whatever" soup recipe that you can change ingredients around on and make any flavored cream soup if you want it too.
I use the following banana bread recipe (Glutenfreeda) and we like it a lot:
1-1/3 cup gf flour (We used the Gluten Free Pantry’s Country French Bread Mix as a straight substitution for flour)
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup vegetable or canola oil
2/3 cup sugar
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking soda and powder. In a large bowl, beat together the oil and sugar. Add the flour mixture to the oil mixture and beat until blended. Gradually beat in eggs. Fold in bananas and pecans. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 1 hour, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool on rack.

The Johnsonville website has a list of which of their products are gluten free.
I haven’t found a replacement for mushroom soup.
There are gluten-free breads at Kroger or Wild Oats if you really want toast. I usually just use corn tortillas instead.

Thank you for all your advice. How can I tell if Kahns hot dogs and big red smokeys are gluten free? I tried on line and didn't have any luck. I'm having some problems and I am trying to really watch it. Thanks alot I feel like I have friends that I can talk too.
