Sorry to use use you guys as my personal google but I figure it'd be better to go with the experts.
We are shipping an app to be installed in hotels in China and for obvious reasons we want to attempt to obfuscate our code as much as possible. A coworker ran it against a commercial application and I was able to get a good majority of the code back to readable within ~15mins using
de4dot and dis# and my skills are no where near most of yours.
If anyone can point me towards some good tools or resources I'd appreciate that greatly and will vote for you at the next meme party.

oops, reply fail.
bytecode is tougher to obfuscate than old school compiled binaries.
especially managed code that uses MS's CLR.
one company i worked for used an off the shelf tool to obfuscate its
java codebase, but i have no idea how effective it was.
