As u maybe aware, the constitution gives the government the mandate
to come up with a consumer protection bill. This process has been
going on and st the moment the bill is under CIC who are trying to get
stakeholders view on the same. Attached, please find the bill under

Reference is made to our stakeholder forum held on Thursday and Friday last
week at the Kenya Institute of Administration (KIA).
As agreed kindly forward to us your comments/recommendations on the
remaining sections of the bill as well as any other relevant comments
by *Friday
3rd February 2012. *This will allow for consolidation of the comments and
revision of the bill in view of the recommendations/comments.
The technical team (as constituted at the stakeholder forum) will retreat
and review the bill. This will then be circulated for your review, prior to
its processing at CIC and onward transmission.
Attached is the bill that we were working with at the stakeholder forum,
for your information.
