----------------------------------------------------------------- Summary Background:  IFMSA is joining the Geneva Health Forum for the first time with Mohamed Eissa, the Liaison Officer for Public Health Issues, and Iris Blom, the Liaison Officer to the World Health Organization. Opportunity: The IFMSA is co-hosting an event at the GHF together with Health for Future on Planetary Health in the Medical Curriculum. The event will be held in a hybrid manner and you are all invited to join us virtually! When: the 3rd of May 12:00 - 14:00 GMT Free and open for all virtually! I am excited to share that next week the Geneva Health Forum will take place. The IFMSA will be present through Mohamed Eissa, the Liaison Officer for Public Health Issues, and Iris Blom, the Liaison Officer to the WHO. The Geneva Health Forum (GHF) is the forum that brings together key actors to help find solutions to global health challenges. Created in 2006, it is organised by the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) and the University of Geneva in partnership with 30 global health organisations, with the overall goal to contribute to improving health and care access in the world. Please read more about it here.  As part of the event, IFMSA will co-host a session with Health for Future on Planetary Health in the Medical Curriculum with the goal to develop the participants’ capacity to engage more meaningfully in the inclusion of planetary health in their medical curricula. The session will be an interactive one (for both those online and in-person) and we will gain insights from specific success stories and together make a plan on how to move forward to integrate planetary health into the medical curriculum.
