1. Background:  The Word Food Safety Day is taking place on the 7th of June and there is an opportunity to listen in on a WHO panel discussion taking place that day!

2. Opportunity:

1. A panel discussion under the theme “Safer food, better health”. The event is hosted by the WHO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Codex Secretariat.

2. When: the 7th of June 12:00 to 13:00 GMT (19.00 to 20.00 GMT+7)

3. Free and open for all virtually!

Dear All Indonesian Medical Students,

I hope this email finds you very well! It is an honor to invite you to an exciting online webinar that the WHO is hosting on World Food Safety Day. 

The first half of the event will focus on the need to transform food systems to deliver better health, through an online moderated panel with WHO Assistant Director-General Naoko Yamamoto and Director of the FAO Liaison Office with the United Nations in Geneva Dominique Burgeon. The speakers will also take audience questions.

The second half of the event will explore, in a moderated panel, how different players ensure the sustainable production and consumption of safe foods in different settings in order to improve health outcomes.

Interpretation will be available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.

The event will take place on the 7th of June from 19 to 20 GMT+7 and is free and open for all. Please note you cannot represent IFMSA in this opportunity. The link to register can be found here.
