GreenfieldRoad at University Drive

Work is currently taking place to install water pipeline and lateral lines to make remaining connections. Scheduled for July 8, crews will pave back the area just north of University Drive on the east side of Greenfield Road, and scheduled for July 10, Greenfield Road traffic will shift to the east side of Greenfield Road at University Drive, for crews to work on the west side of the road with similar work. This work will likely take place until late July.

Greenfield Road, from Broadway Road to Main Street

Water pipeline crews are working at the southwest corner of the Greenfield Road/Broadway Road intersection to complete tie-in's (connections). Scheduled to begin July 8, traffic restrictions will be in place in various locations to accommodate remaining tie-in's of the waterline.

Val Vista Drive, McLellan Drive to McKellips Road

Water pipeline is also being installed in the west side of Val Vista Drive, from McLellan Drive to McKellips Road, with traffic shifted to the east side of Val Vista, one lane in each direction. Scheduled for mid-July, this work should reach the McKellips intersection, which will require lane restrictions for eastbound McKellips traffic for approximately 1-2 weeks.

Southern Avenue & US60 (see graphic below)

Crews continue work in the east side of Greenfield Road from Southern Avenue working in a southerly direction. Work is also taking place south of the US60 to bore (tunnel) under Greenfield Road across US60.

Crews are using a combination of boring (tunneling) and trenching in Greenfield Road to install this large-diameter waterline pipe. Greenfield Road traffic, from Southern to Holmes Avenue is shifted to the west side of the median, one lane in each direction, with business and resident access maintained.

Lane reductions are currently in place near the work zones and left turns may be restricted. Work is taking place primarily during daytime hours with traffic control remaining in place 24/7 to protect the work zone. As work takes place across side streets or driveways, access may be restricted; however, the contractor will ensure there is alternate access available.
