Save the date,

RSA is very close to Zambia, I suggest that we get organized as early as this so that we go for the Africa Forum in good numbers. As a team we can plan to send many of our members form Zambia by road, we can organize a Luxury coach form here, thinking aloud.

Though the National Council hasn't sat to discuss this (I'm sure this will be discussed in the next NC meeting), the practice has been that only one or two members can be sponsored by the Council due to fund constrains, but if we want our members to appreciate the Transport and Logistics profession with the Act in place, especially with the compliance date that is approaching, we need to start appreciating such events by participating. I feel Africa Forum is very important and educative and we should encourage our members to attend. 

The event is in March next year so if we can start planning now the better. like I stated in my earlier email, road transport is a bit more affordable and if this is planned well and in advance, as Zambia we can send a good number to represent us. Some can sponsor themselves and others might be sponsored by their employers, the secretariat can prepare a letter to send to employers for various members for sponsorship .

CILT Zambia has attended many Africa Forums, CILT International Conferences, WiLAT etc. What has the Council benefited from the same. Let individuals who have the finances attend at own cost than ZCILT spending money on sponsoring candidates.
