Nominations of the vacant positions

Dear chartered and Fellows of the Institute,

On behalf of the National Council I would like to thank all those that attended the ZCILT AGM that was held on the 25th June, 2016 at MICC.

As you are all aware, we didn't manage to fill all the positions of the Logistics and Transportants Registration Board, and that of the Committee members of the Disciplinary Committee.

I would therefore like to invite suggestion from the general membership to nominate Chartered Members or Fellows that can be considered for these positions. The required numbers are four (04) for the Disciplinary Committee and three(03) for the Logisticians and Transportants Registration Board. This decision was arrived at so that majority of the general membership can be part of the decision making.

Your involvement in this will be highly appreciated and please spread the word.

Dear all,

I write as a follow up to my earlier email on the need to fill the vacant positions in the two Committees. Let me state that during the AGM we that the following that went unopposed:

Logisticians and Transportants Registration Board

1. John Chipuwa

2. Raymond Jhala

3. Gladwell Banda

4. Capt John Kasanka

5. Martin Mbangu

6. Capt. Kasakula Miyambo

Disciplinary Committee 

1. Lt Col Noah Chilufya

From the above, we can see  that we need three (03) members of the Log &Tpt Registration Board and Four (04) members for the Disciplinary Committee.

So far bellow are the names that have been recommended for the positions:

1. Pearson Makunku

2. Andison Ngandu

3. Christopher  Lesa

4. M. Ngandu

5. Ernest Kunda

We still need some more members, awaiting your recommendations, I assume that these members have already been consulted before forwarding the names.

I believe the discussion is about filling in other positions unless there is something I may not know. However, the NEC ought to expedite the adoptions of these appointees to enable the Disciplinary Committee meet.

Afternoon managers

I would like to concur with people that suggested or proposed that this issue of filling up the vacant positions be addressed or discussed in the meeting and then give feed back. I believe it can be handled professionally by the office bearers. It was done in good faith asking the member to forward the names of people who we think can work in those positions and there must have been a dateline of receiving the names to avoid procrastination.
