Last Sunday we drove from Havana to Quiver Lake; weather was beautiful, in the 40s, not so windy, sunshine and blue sky.  Wish it had been like that when we did our eagle count the week before! We spotted 15 eagles, a mix of adults, sub-adults and immatures.

It was cold, very windy, mix of snow and rain. Low visibility.  9 eagles in all between Havana and Beardstown.

Brownsville, IL landing:
1 Adult, 1 Immature

Sanganois landing, West side of river
1 Adult

Beardstown, IL harbor:
4 Adults (in pairs), 1 Sub-adult, 1 Immature

We couldn't get back to the Sanganois landing on the other side because of road conditions in the slush.  We didn't see any eagles flying; all were perched in trees.  We drove as close to the river as we could, and stopped at Bath and Matanza Beach, but didn't find any other eagles on the East side of the river.

6 Adults, 1 Sub-adult, 2 Imatures, 9 Total

That should have been Browning, IL landing, not Brownsville.
