Welcome to the Dickcissel Dial the Central Illinois Birding Hotline. Today is Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022.

Common Redpoll, Ross's Goose, and Tundra Swan are being reported in the region.

Smith's Longspurs are making their migration through Piatt county.

Wood Thrush in Champaign and Mason counties.

Also in Champaign county: Osprey, Common Loon, and American Pipit.

American White Pelican in Vermilion.

Northern Shrike in both Pike and Clark counties.

 Cackling Goose, Caspian Tern, and Trumpeter Swan in McLean county.

Sangamon county had a Fish Crow along the banks of the Sangamon River near Roby, Illinois.

The correct answer on "what two continents that hummingbirds call home?" North and South America.

Remember, the Chestnut-sided Warbler says "Pleased to meetcha, Miss Beecher". It sings in open tree branches or more than likely from a bush-top.
