Before proceeding, may we know if this is the only channel affected by this? If so, are there any error messages prompted on your screen? Since you've performed all the possible troubleshooting steps provided on this thread, we highly suggest reaching out to the channel provider themselves (Netflix Support) for further assistance and clarification, as they are the ones who provided and maintained their channel on the Roku streaming platform. Their channel may need an update from them.

Could you please specify if this issue is only with a particular channel or specific content? We suggest trying a system restart by going to Settings > System > Power > System restart to see if that resolves the issue. If it doesn't, we recommend following the troubleshooting steps provided in this support article on how to resolve a channel playback issue.

May we know what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far? Also, when did you start seeing this issue? Alternatively, upon exhausting the provided fixes, were you able to communicate with the channel provider to inquire further and ask for additional troubleshooting steps? If so, what were your findings?

Following up on this as well... let's see if I can be relatively organized and systematic in how I describe the issue and steps already taken (although assume anything basic like remove/reload app was tried ages ago).

My Netflix "jams up" for lack of a better term, like others in this thread. Mine manifests as such: starting most any program on Netflix will begin for a short period of time, within 30 seconds, the show will start lagging, the audio will drop out (captions will keep running for a bit), then it'll buffer and eventually overload and the app will reset, or it'll just overload and I'll manually have to press the home button a few times for it to "crash" the Netflix app. Immediately going back into Netflix and trying again, yields the same result. Waiting until later, usually yields the same result.

2) I have four active Roku devices two stream bars, one stick, and this TCL/Roku TV. The only device where this is an issue is the TCL/Roku TV. I have not contacted Netflix as this issue does not appear to be any other devices. Just one specific piece of hardware, this TCL/Roku TV.

A simple search of this thread, and then this forum, shows there's no lack of "Netflix and Roku" issues. Is Roku currently acknowledging the volume of recurring/similar issues? Is Roku currently working on fixing this issue?

The goal is to get the freeloaders to become new paying customers, but not everyone is willing to cough up the cash. "My partner and I are just not going to have Netflix from now on," Rose says. She's frustrated at being asked to pay more for streamers that are making less television for her to watch.

It's a big change in policy and tone for a streamer that once promoted password sharing as part of its marketing strategy. So far, it has spelled more money and subscribers for Netflix, according to its latest earnings report, but it's also angering and alienating its user base, some of whom are canceling the service outright. Here's what you should know about the policy, and why it's probably here to stay (and may even spread to other streamers).

You can set your household up manually or Netflix will do it for you, based on IP (internet protocol) address information for your account. If someone is using your account a few states away, they're likely to be bounced from the platform.

If you travel frequently, have a second residence or need to use Netflix outside your home regularly, there are ways to make sure you don't lose access to your account. But these workarounds have limits and can be multi-step processes. If you have a second home, you need to first open Netflix on a mobile device on the primary WiFi network, and then secondary location, at least once a month to maintain access. If you travel to different places frequently, Netflix offers codes to allow you to log in on new TVs in hotels or rentals, but users report obtaining too few codes per month, which can be limiting for professions like travel nurses, salespeople or writers.

Others have already canceled, or declined to pony up for a new account after losing access to someone else's. Brayden Simms, 41, a copy editor from Boulder, Colorado, canceled his account. "I just feel like everyone is struggling for cash right now, and we are all looking for ways to cut back and live a more sustainable lifestyle. Meanwhile, the number of monthly subscriptions we are expected to pay is going up and up."

On Wednesday, Netflix released its second-quarter earnings for 2023 and led by touting gains resulting from the password crackdown. "Revenue in each region is now higher than pre-launch, with sign-ups already exceeding cancellations," Netflix's letter to shareholders said, noting 5.9 million subscribers were added in countries where the company introduced the password crackdown. But some of that growth can be attributed to the introduction of cheaper, ad-supported tiers of the service.

It might just happen, because big business is as susceptible to peer pressure as anyone else. After streamer Max (formerly HBO Max) began excising titles from its library last year as a cost-cutting measure, others quickly followed, including Paramount+, Disney+ and Starz. Netflix executives once swore they would never put commercials on the platform, but after ad-supported tiers were successful on other streamers, Netflix added its own.

Netflix is widely considered the grandfather of streaming services. However, its popularity has taken a hit in recent years, as October 2023's price increase saw the Basic plan rise to $11.99/month in the U.S., and 2024 is expected to see more of the same. Still, this mainly seems to have affected its reputation, as its crackdown on password sharing last year actually resulted in millions of new subscribers.

Subscribers are joining or staying primarily due to the vast catalog of movies and TV shows available. Netflix is also constantly adding new properties, including Netflix originals, so the promise of more is worth the cost for many. Sometimes, though, the licensing for an existing property expires. Or, if a contract is up for renegotiation, they have to make the tough decision to let something go for one reason or another. That's what's happening behind the scenes when your favorite show or movie vanishes from the site.

So, what's going to disappear from Netflix in July 2024? Well, a couple of the 1984 classics from Netflix's "Milestone Movies" initiative will expire, as will several other blockbuster favorites. In their place, though, will be a batch of 1994 classics. As far as TV series are concerned, here's a list of series from thrillers to children's animation leaving the site.

Masha's Tales is the first spinoff of the children's series Masha and the Bear. It's a Russian-language cartoon starring a little girl named Masha. She is portrayed as smart and kind, albeit mischievous. She tells fairy tales for her toys, often mixing stories from more than one until it takes on a plot of its own. Even the morale can change, with the heroes becoming "bad guys" or vice versa.

In the next spinoff, Masha's Spooky Stories, Masha relays seemingly terrifying stories that turn out to be funny and instructive, with nothing to be afraid of. The lesson to be learned here is that not everything is as it seems. Masha's Tales and Masha's Spooky Stories leave Netflix on July 1.

Turkish TV series 46 Yok Olan is a mystery/thriller with an unusual style. The premise is that a genetics professor is searching for a cure for his comatose sister. He blends medical and shamanic remedies and tests these on himself so as not to harm her. In doing so, he unlocks a shocking side effect. What results is a tragic, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde-like plot. The lead is played by Erdal Beşikioğlu, who, in addition to being an actor, is also the mayor of the Etimesgut district of Ankara. 46 leaves Netflix on July 1.

Oh My Baby is a Korean drama series about Jang Ha Ri, the ultimate workaholic who hasn't so much as dated in a decade. However, being a senior reporter at a parenting magazine, she gets constant reminders about something she badly wants: a baby. It stars Jang Na-ra, a prolific actress and singer with a history in both the Korean and Chinese entertainment industries. You may know her from such projects as Sell Your Haunted House, The Last Empress, or My Happy End.

The series follows Jang Ha's quest to cut to the chase and have children... that is until she ends up with several admirers. Which of these admirers will she choose to be the father? And will she end up falling in love anyway? Oh My Baby leaves Netflix on July 4.

Top Gear is a docuseries from the UK that follows its hosts, typically a motoring journalist and one or two entertainers of some kind, on a journey around the world to test the claims of various car manufacturers. This involves extreme stunts and challenges to showcase all that the featured cars are capable of doing. Top Gear is structured as part car review, celebrity visit, and stunt. It has a quirky tone that rewards mishaps on the show.

Top Gear Seasons 29 and 30 were specifically shot during the beginning of the pandemic, with changes made to the production to suit everyone's health and safety. The result was that there was no studio audience or celebrity visit aspect, which could be why these seasons are now being omitted. Top Gear Series 29 and 30 leave Netflix on July 31.
