Hi again,

I just received a call from Tundra Technical staffing solutions firm based out of Ottawa and they're looking to gather some qualified staff for upcoming DND projects.

They are looking for Geomatics / Data Scientists experienced in MATLAB with some pretty extensive programming experience/qualifications who already have National security clearance to fill various positions with DND over the next 4 years.    It sounds like the positions will vary in duration with start dates that will be spread out over the 4 years.

I thought I'd forward this on to the group in case anyone was interested in contacting Julian for more information.  I think many of us are seasonal so perhaps there may be an extension or two in this opportunity.

Hi Tina,
 
Nice to chat with you and appreciate you checking with your network on this. I’ve attached the technical grid so you can review it but really the core technologies they are looking for experience in are in the below list. There are no minimum years of experience required for each technology, as long as someone has worked with it professionally at least once they will qualify. The more technologies on the list someone scores the better.
 
The overall contract is going to be for years whereby DND will request contractors in this field for various projects. The durations, terms and rates for each will be determined once the contract request is issued by DND so at this time we are putting together the overall arrangement and then in the next phase will be sourcing the specific contracts. Anyone that chooses to go in on our proposal, however, will have first crack at each contract as they come up since they were part of our original proposal (this is basically the bonus we provide for bidding with us). Let me know if you have any questions and of course if anyone is interested they can certainly reach out directly to me. The best thing to do would be if they can send me an updated copy of their word resume as well as a brief yes/no answer on each of the below technologies.
