The data also shows that Americans with higher incomes and levels of education are more likely to use multiple devices to go online. For example, those with a family income of $75,000 or more or a college degree used about two types of Internet-connected devices on average in 2013. Those without a high school diploma or with a family income of less than $25,000, however, said they only used one device on average. Usage also varied by age group. Americans in the 15-24 and 25-44 age groups reported using the Internet with, on average, more than two types of devices in 2013. Seniors ages 65 and older reported less than one device per user on average. In all cases, however, the average number of device types used by Americans to access the Internet increased between 2011 and 2013.
I have a Samsung s8 active and my Spotify account will tell me I'm in offline mode and won't search for songs or load albums, even though I'm not in offline mode and I am connected to Wifi. I've tried disconnecting from Wifi and using Mobile Data, I've used different Wifi, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone and only in the latter two did I get it to work again, but that only works for a little bit and then I'm "in offline mode" again. Surprisingly, I can access all of my playlists and play any song on them with Wifi or mobile data connection. I also deleted my cache and have no playlists saved to my phone, and changed my storage to my SD Card. Still, my mobile Spotify app will not let me search anything or load any albums, artists, or songs, except for ones already in my playlists, which aren't even downloaded or saved to my phone. It's really frustrating to not be able to search songs, artists, or albums without having to restart my phone every hour or two. Keep in mind that every other app on my phone loads fine when connected to wifi.
The android app is claiming I don't have internet access, on wifi and on mobile data. I have tried clearing the cache, clearing the app data, and reistalling the app entirely, none of which fixed the problem. I am unable to load anything on home screen of the app, the search function works but all albums and artists do not open. But all the songs I have liked and added to a playlist still play and they are not installed, the browse function works fully as well. For reference I have an LG G2, an old phone I am aware. I am paying for premium. This problem has been a problem since I updated the app two weeks ago. The app is as up to date as the playstore has for my phone.
Try out the Rapid Ring app, designed for the quickest access to live view. Please also ensure there are no VPNs enabled on the mobile device. As other neighbors suggested prior, testing wifi versus cellular data connection is another great step. I hope this helps!
I bought a new unlocked device M1 MR1100 online, went to a local ATT store and purchased a data plan, plugged in the sim card, tried to connect my phone to it. The phone did connect to the hotspot, but it shows "internet may not be available". the message in the hotspot shows "your data connection is disconnected". The ATT store salesman could not figure it out. Can anyone help me out?
Data connection disconnected means the device is not connected to carrier's network. Please check APN setting and check with yoru carrier whether the data service is blocked to the device or any changes on the service of your plan.
My router is definitely configured to forward port 47111 UDP to the Wireguard server on the Raspberry Pi (again, the client is able to successfully establish a connection to the Wireguard server. Client just has no internet access while connected).
I have a new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 512GB 5G; ordered direct from Samsung UK. The handset is connected to my home WiFi and reports a "very strong" signal. However, whenever I download something e.g. a new app, the handset always uses mobile data instead of WiFi.
Yes, I do have "mobile data" switched on in the settings for when I cannot connect to WiFi, however, the handset should be able to prioritise WiFi when connected to WiFi and not needlessly use mobile data, but it seems that this is not happening.
Turn on both WifI and Data - long press WiFi in quick settings then from there three dot menu and you will find the option to stop data while WiFi on. It's there for when WiFi is poor so the phone switches to Data to maintain good connection.
I have two iPhone 7 Plus phones. Both are connected to the same wifi as well as every device in my house. But my iPhone appears to choose the cellular connection for data. If I tell the app to only use wifi, or turn off cellular data, it works fine on wifi. But then its not usable when I leave my home. Simply opening up safari to google, it will say no internet on my phone but my wife goes right to it (cell connection is only 1 bar in my home). My instagram is crazy slow or won't connect, youtube videos will not play.
You want Wi-Fi assist to be OFF. If it is on, when the Wi-Fi signal is weak or slow it will switch to cellular. But even with the switch off, if the Wi-Fi signal is very weak or intermittent it will switch to cellular also. And it will always use cellular when the phone is asleep, because Wi-Fi turns off 30 seconds after the phone goes to sleep to preserve battery life (Wi-Fi, when connected, uses power continuously whether it is being used for data transfer or not).
@TheBaj : I figured the problem with this and fixed it. The problem is when you are connected through the router, the androidwifi in your emulator uses the settings and the sets the DNS to something other than 8.8.8.8 which is the google DNS(I presume this is kinda mandatory setting for the androidwifi to gain internet access). But if i change the DNS in my network settings, the google-services plugin which fetches your dependencies especially the one's getting downloaded from jcenter() will not be downloaded and hence your sync will fail which eventually fails your build.
As students moved en masse to online learning during the pandemic, access to internet-connected devices became a requirement for students to participate effectively in their new learning environments. The pre-pandemic data described above suggest that not all students would have been in a position to take advantage of these remote classrooms, and that this would be true of a higher percentage of students whose parents had lower incomes or lower levels of educational attainment.
Firestore SDKs cache any data that they've recently seen, as well as any pending writes from the local client that haven't been synchronized to the server yet. On mobile clients (iOS and Android) this cache is enabled by default, while on web you can enable it with an API call.
The err_empty_response (err empty response) message can occur when using the Chrome browser and you are trying access a website. It means that data is not being sent/transmitted. There are many websites that suggest the same steps to fix this issue:
Same issue happening for me on the iPhone 15 Pro. It'll connect to my home wifi and then periodically disconnect every 45 seconds only to reconnect five minutes later. No issues with the wifi on any other device in my house. And the funny thing is the iPhone continues to say it's connected until you go to settings where it occasionally updates to say "No Internet Connection." Perhaps it's an issue with IOS 17? I'm hoping it's not a hardware issue.
I had same problem on all (4) iPhone 15 pro in the family. Phone can stay on Xfinity internet for just few minutes and data is cut. I have to turn off and on WIFI to continue. I am renting Xfinity's router and wifi box. So we are on 5G for the past few months.
High-throughput molecular profiling has changed the approach to study cancer. For decades, anatomical localization and histological features have guided the identification of cancer subtypes, but the genomic profiling of tumour samples has revealed differences and similarities that go beyond the histopathological classification. The diversity in genomic alteration patterns often stratifies tumours from the same organ or tissue, while tumours in different tissues may present similar patterns1,2,3. For example, mutational profiling of regulatory proteins shows tissue specificity, while histone modifiers can be mutated similarly across several cancer types4. Hoadley et al.2 suggests that lung squamous, head and neck, and a subset of bladder cancers form a unique cancer category typified by specific alterations, while copy number, protein expression, somatic mutations and activated pathways divide bladder cancer into different subtypes. The analysis of cancer transcriptomes revealed that the same tumour may originate from several cell types, and different biological processes may lead to malignant transformation4. Moreover, similar pathways may be activated in different cancers, like ovarian, endometrial and basal-like breast carcinomas5,6. Notwithstanding the enormous increase of knowledge on tumour processes, a practical application of this knowledge to new treatment strategies has not advanced with the same pace. For example, common genetic alterations can predict similar responses to pharmacological therapies across multiple cancer cell lines7,8,9, thus common molecular and functional profiles could enable the repurposing of therapies from one cancer to another.
