Hello Guys,
I have a Vodafone GigaCube (B157), FCCID-URL = ,
but it's kind of useless because the vodafone mobile connection is really bad and its accept no other sim cards. However, I found out it's a IPQ8072A SoC, and a very exciting topic for making it work with promising progress. (Link: -dl-wrx36-askey-rt5010w-ipq8072a-openwrt-support)

Im loving to use openwrt, I have very fantastic Wifi6 hardware but the firmware is limiting everything and makes it useless, I can't even upload a firmware-image file, just pull OTA-Updates if available by vodafone.

after the firmware update my printer no longer prints once I hit the print button on my computer, the x1 carbon just stays in the idle state and never does anything, any ideas of what I should do? 4-26-23

The problem is: everything worked perfect and fine till yesterday or wendsday. But now, I have this big trouble. Could it be a problem of my vodafone Internet connection? There I have trouble with logging in at office since two days and dont know why.

All the following Vodafone Stock ROM (zip file) contains the original Vodafone USB Driver, Flash Tool, and the Firmware File. After Downloading the firmware, follow the instruction manual shipped with the firmware to flash or install firmware on mobile.

While in general third-party firmware (Custom ROM) has system bugs and stability issues. In this case, you may experience battery issues, network issues, camera issues, missing features, lags, overheating, slow performance, and many more. But whenever you switch to Stock ROM, you can quickly fix them all.

[*] After flashing (installing) the Vodafone Stock ROM on your device, you may need to flash (install) the IMEI using the IMEI tool provided with the firmware file. If you are going to flash the IMEI, then flash the Original IMEI that comes with your device.

The Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub 2.0 is a very capable device with a very bad & bug ridden firmware. Been 8 weeks since TIO escalation and we are still awaiting on a response from Vodafone & the manufacturer for a new firmware update or resolution.

I don't know if somebody has done this before but I am thinking of replacing the firmware with the original firmware from Netcomm. Having to reboot daily is not acceptable and Vodafone tech support is not much help.

Yes, I've been on the latest firmware for a while, and still experiencing the same problem. It just won't switch back automatically to NBN.
I've escalated with Vodafone, but I'm not holding my breath!

Vodafone replaced the modem, the firmware is the same version as the one I returned however I feel the new modem is either made out of more premium materials or is put together better. The antenna ports at the back of the old modem were a little loose even after I tightened the screws that hod the actual antenna connectors in place, the new modem the antenna ports are much more sturdy and the antennas do not flop around.

Ok maybe I speak to soon... The replacement modem is up to the good old tricks. I spoke to vodafone again and they advised there is an issue with software whereby if the SIM is in the modem it inadvertantly connects to 4G even though the NBN connection is present.

Though for me so far the Vodafone tech support has been really good in terms of listening to me and understanding my problem, always on time and helpful. I suppose they can't do much, unless there is an update to the hub or firmware.

Hahaha i just found this forum with people having the same issues as me. I called vodafone because of the 4g kick in all the time over the nbn. The first guy told me to take off the antennas and when i asked him why he told me that i don't need them because i have good reception and the antennas are for places with low-quality 4g coverage. i told him if i have to do that, that vodafone is having some big problem with the modems and they are trying to hide it because it doesn't make any sense to take off the antennas for it to work properly. He assured me that the 4g will work as it was supposed to. So after i have done that and hung up with him i went to check the 4g backup signal and to my surprise, it said not connected. I called again and a girl answered and start doing all these tests to the router and nbn which came back all ok. I told her to send me a new modem but after 10 minutes she said she couldn't do it because the modem was out of warranty, i told her it cant be right because the modem is not even 1 year old and so now i am waiting for the supervisor to call me back. they are pathetic and layers

I removed the Vodafone Hub and setup my PC with 2 network cards and setup internet sharing. Ran for a while, then started disconnecting as well so this tells me there is an issue somewhere with the line. I also am on the latest firmware already as shared by another member.

After having all of the same issues I spent most of this week on the phone with support. I was told to go to the following page: -fi-hub?accordion-id=upgrade-your-wi-fi-hub-firmware where the firmware actually downloaded for once. They kept asking me to just upload the zip file to upgrade but it always failed. They put me on hold so I decided to unzip the file and try. You guessed it, it worked uploading the .enc file.

So not sure if this is possible with hub 2.0 but with the first gen i was lucky enough to have second router that supported dual wan i noticed that dropouts were much more common if something was connected to vodafone wifi so i used second router to connect to nbn and for wifi and used dual wan failover on vodafone hub so 4g was always connected

They recently released a new firmware update (NL1902.NC.VHA-R6B053.EN) which appears to have fixed the 4G backup bug where it kicks in (sometimes for no real reason) and then doesn't swictch back to WAN.

All the following Vodafone Stock Rom/Original firmware (zip file) contains reliable Vodafone USB driver, flash tool and firmware, follow the guidelines step by step to flash the firmware on the device.

Recomenda-se que o firmware do router seja atualizado com a última versão disponível uma vez que são continuamente efetuadas correções de funcionamento por parte do fabricante. Note que deve estabelecer ligação à interface web do router.
