Hi,

I have a growing list of several hundred cider and perry varietals that I keep in NorCal. It looks like this group has some pretty informed people who want the proper varieties for fermenting. If you want to check the list out or join it, send me an email and I will gladly give you permission to edit. This would be good for budwood and scion exchanges. Perhaps we could add on a rootstock section as well.

I am pasting the text version below, but I also have a spreadsheet which is alphabetized and much easier to use. Let me know if you are intrested..

John

Check out Eastman's Antique Apples in Mid-Michigan.  They have quite a selection of off the wall varieties.  The list is old and we've had a few harsh winters, but it's a heck of a list of apples they have.

John,

I live in Portland, OR. My company ORWA Cider Collective is currently grafting a few thousand trees. I have some varietals you're looking for. A Pacific Northwest scion/budwood exchange is a great idea! Contact me off list and let's talk:

This is to John Sawicz:

My name is Jerry Fottral and my family and I are building an orchard in eastern Iowa. We are trying to get ahold of scionwood of cider apples, especially English and French bittersweets to graft. You have many varieties on your list that we can't find and would like to try growing here. So I am hoping there is some way you could share your scionwood. I would be happy to exchange or to purchase from you, whatever works for you, but I'd be more than happy to pay for your time and expenses. We have about 450 varieties of our own and most of them are large enough now to donate scionwood.

If this finds you and you are willing to provide scionwood, please send me an email at jfo...@gmail.com or call anytime. My cell phone is 319 361-5458.

Thank you!
