Hi everyone,

We have an Enolmaster 4 Head Vacuum Filler by Tenco, which was purchased used.

It had been working reasonable well but, more recently, the pressure level has dropped off a lot, such that filling is very slow (1 bottle per minute?) or not possible.

We have checked the host connections and resecured. We are now looking into the electronics but are straying well beyond knowledge comfort zone.

We have contacted Tenco for some assistance but, in the meantime, wondering whether anyone has experience with this machine and any trouble shooting tips?

Many thanks,

James

Hi James

I had a similar problem with a single head Enolmatic filler and bought a new motor, which made no difference (motor for sale if anyone interested!). I eventually tracjed the problem down to a tiny piece of apple skin blocking a nozzle in the vacuum tube.Once removed, everything worked properly again. I would suggest removing a blowing through all tubes and nozzles. It may also be worth checking the seals between the filling heads and the bottles

Hi James,

I had a similar issue with mine, but it was only the last two filler heads at the end filling super-slowly. When I switched them to different locations they still filled slowly so I knew it was the filler heads themselves as the other two worked fine. I detached them and blew them out with compressed air like Nick suggested and they started working perfectly. When I was trouble-shooting with the supplier they linked to this video:

Hope you get it figured out!

Thank you both for your input. That sounds like a common theme in your troubleshooting ...and encouraging that you managed to see improvement with a relatively easy fix.

@Matt - that video is also v helpful, thank you.

When we have a chance to have a go at repair, we'll post an update with how it goes.

All the best,

James

Just wanted to post a quick update, in case anyone has an issue with this equipment.

We tried blowing compressed air through the filler heads (which others on the forum found effective) and replacing the reservoir seals (recommended by manufacturer) but neither made any difference for us.

However, we got in touch with Liquid Solutions, who are a Wales-based maker of bottling equipment that also stocks Enolmaster spares. We had bought a bottle rinser from them previously (which is great) but, irrespective of this, their engineer (Simon) was super helpful in helping us troubleshoot the faulty vacuum filler by phone. He suspected that us using the filler to bottle cider without an oil bath filter installed could have caused the machine internals to clog up with sugar. He was right! We opened up the machine and found the blue rubber gasket component within the pump unit that he suspected was the problem. Once we had cleaned that with soapy water and put everything together again, the machine worked perfectly with full pressure.

Hope that helps someone - and massive thanks again to Liquid Solutions for helping us out on a goodwill basis when we hadn’t even bought the machine through them.

Feel free to message me if you’d like any more details on the fix.
