I have a Cole-Parmer hydrometer #08298-65 that reads from 1.000/1.070 and want to calibrate it using Claude's calibration excel spreadsheet. What would be a good choice for the calibration solutions for me to use if I am using the salt based calibration solutions and dong 3 points? Thanks much.

The ideal youd be to have 3 solutions:
Pure distilled water for 1.000 and brine (salt-water) solutions for the mid-scale (around 1.030) and for the high part of the scale (around 1.065)
See my book page 167 for how to prepare such solutions.
