The only problem seems to be getting the corks back out again which is tending to require a corkscrew or pliers, even thought there is a large amount of fizz in the bottle.
I am wondering if I should try the slightly smaller cider bouche corks but can't seem to find a supplier
Any ideas out there?
thanks
John

I am using large crown caps with bidules and then putting a full size champagne cork in which, when it comes to drinking time, is refusing to come out - hence the thought of the slightly smaller cidre bouche corks if anyone has any idea where to get some
thanks

A little French googling brought me to this
http://pro.materiaux-direct.com/habitat/menager/cave-et-chai/bouchons/bouchons-liege-naturel
They seem to have the regular 24 mm, plus the undersize 23 mm corks
specifically listed for cider.
On a separate page they also have the 'muselet' wire cages listed and
also plastic stoppers

Bon chance!
