I have a couple of trees growing.  Does anyone have any input to what the apple and cider taste like?  I've had two years of a couple apples but both years were very different in flavour.  First year was rich and fruity with some oak like flavours and last year was incredibly bitter without much richness.

Deciding on which to plant out...Dabinett or Black Dabinett.  Both beautiful apples but I may have to give the contest to Black Dabinett from images I have seen.

Thanks in advance!

I have three black dabinett standaed trees in Mid Devon. Very late, I press on Boxing day with a wild fermentation and with only sulphite to help it keep after fermentation, the dry result is very popular.

From my Phone. Small keypad, big thumbs.

I have 3 Black Dabinets in S.Devon. Although they crop more heavily than Dabinet I much prefer the Dabinet juice.
Black Dabs are very late and I often press them in January.

And those notes Dabinett is famous for, orange peel and the like, does Black Dabinett have any of those?
