Hello,
I’m looking for feedback on the use of rice hulls to improve juice extraction during apple pressing.
How much do you typically add?
What increase in juice yield have you observed?
Is the improvement in extraction economically worthwhile once the cost of the rice hulls is taken into account?
Have you noticed any impact on the sensory characteristics of the juice or cider?
Have you observed any microbiological issues or changes associated with their use?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.
Yann
