Have you looked at juice and strain as a possible alternative to pulp and press?

Note that central screw presses are not as practical as those that have an external frame - because in central screw presses, the screw goes through the pomace, hence making press loading and unloading more difficult. Moreover, the lower part of the screw must be pretected to avoid steel-pomace contact. All these problems are avoided with the external frame press.
