Here are a few more updates (and related attachements) from TRUST South LA:

Public Hearing to Review EIR for new Bike Lane Projects in South Los Angeles:

Date: Thursday, February 14th, 2013

Time: 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Where: Caltrans District 7 Building, Room 01.040 - 100 S. Main St., Los Angeles, CA 90012

Imagine how much safer our streets could be with new Bike Lanes along some of our busiest streets.

On Thursday February 14th at LADOT headquarters downtown a public hearing reviewing the Environmental Impact Reports for the first round of approved Bike Lanes in the Cities Bicycle Master Plan are up for review.

Why is this important?

If the City doesn’t hear from residents and stakeholders from our community, many proposed bike lane projects in our neighborhoods will be delayed indefinitely. The following streets in central and south LA have been under environmental review and need your support!

-- >Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. (Marlton Ave. to Figueroa St.)

-- >S. Figueroa St. (7th St to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.)

-- >Grand Ave. (Washington Blvd. to 30th St.)

-- >7th St. (Figueroa St. to Main St.      )

-- >Venice Blvd. (San Vicente Blvd. to Main St.)

These are highly utilized routes that community stakeholders have asked for and that will help improve the connectivity and safety of the cities alternative transit infrastructure.
