Hello everyone,
Hopefully you’ve heard by now from somewhere that CicLAvia is back this Sunday April 15th!!
Here is the program for the African American Fire Fighter Museum this year:
African American Firefighter Museum Rest Stop! (Central Ave/14th St., 90021)
Start your CicLAvia adventure at the African American Firefighter Museum, currently the route's most southern point! Designated as an official rest stop, highlights include:
• Museum Tours: Celebrate a century of service by pioneering African American firefighters in L.A.!
• Stage (Central/14th): Sponsored by “Free the Streets.”
10:00am : DJ Filthy Sal and DJ Survive
11:00am : Community Theatre Project
12:00pm: Inner City Dwellers
12:30pm: Real Rydaz Low Rider Bike Club
1:20pm : Stoll Rockers and the
2:30pm : Rob Hunter Quartet.
• Bike Show: Featuring the Real Rydaz Lowrider Bike Club
• Local Food Truck Vendors, featuring South LA's Earlez Grille Food Truck
• Community/Political Action Area: Get involved to increase bike access and bring positive healthy change to South L.A. with the special Launch of the Ride South LA Website and the new Watts Ride Map!
• Bike Repair by El Maestro and First Aid Stations
Also featured this year, an amazing exhibit chronicling the community and small business life of people living in the Central Ave community. Personal photos were collected and added to a new gallery space at adams and Central ave where special viewings will occur throughout the day. Tours to the Central Avenue Community Album Project wil start at the Hub all day! (Grand Opening of the Gallery Saturday night! Flyer and Info Below)
