Hello CicLAvia Volunteers--

We're gearing up for 5th CicLAvia taking place on Sunday October 7th, 2012. (Hard to believe that we are on the 5th one already!) And of course this couldn't be possible without you! CicLAvia is constantly expanding into different parts of the city and ever-changing and we're glad you have stuck in there with us.

All volunteer opportunities for the upcoming CicLAvia have been posted to ciclavia.org/volunteer including Outreach & Canvassing which started today! Hub Volunteers and Route Angels are a big need for day of CicLAvia. If you are interested, check out the available shift times and locations and email us with your preference! All volunteers get a CicLAvia volunteer shirt!

We are also very pleased to bring back Adopt-an-Intersection program after its great success this past CicLAvia in April. We were very happy with all the groups that participated in April. The Adopt-an-Intersection program is a great opportunity for small groups, clubs and non-profits to take part in making CicLAvia possible by controlling pedestrian and bicycle traffic at one of our soft closures. They can promote  their organizations by setting up a table, tent, banners, hand out goodies, do something interactive, have a raffle, dress up or dance at the designated soft closure.

We are now accepting applications for this October's CicLAvia Adopt-an-Intersection. If you are involved with a non-profit organization, community group or volunteer team or know of a group that might be interested in participating in this program or for more information email us at ciclavia...@gmail.com and we will forward you an Adopt-an-Intersection guideline and Application.

We are very excited for the upcoming CicLAvia! We hope everyone is having a great summer! Stay cool!!!

For any questions, comments or concerns email us at ciclavia...@gmail.com
