| Full programme for ANGEL Seminar Series 21/22 now available |

To further ANGEL's aim of building an international community of researchers and scholars in the field of GE, and responding to event feedback from members, we are happy to confirm a regular series of shorter events called the ANGEL Seminar Series. This series, created with the needs of members in mind, but open to all, will consist of around 6 events during each academic year, with a schedule of dates confirmed at the beginning of the autumn term. All events are free and open to all, but please do register in advance. Some sessions may feature follow-on informal member-only sessions. 2021 sessions are available to book right now, and the rest will be bookable by November. Special focus: Research on Teacher Education. JAN 19, 14:00 - 15:30. Presentations on the topic of teacher education, hosted by the ANGEL Special Interest Group on Teacher Education. Including Annette Scheunpflug, Susanne Timm and Dorothea Taube (University of Bamberg), on the topic of: ‘Teaching global citizenship education’, and more TBC. Available to book in November.
Special focus: NGOs in schools. FEB 9, 14:00 - 15:15. This session, led by the University of Bamberg, reflects on the culture of NGOs coming into schools to enhance the practice of global citizenship education, and aims to collect existing research and discuss the related challenges for NGO’s. Featuring Annette Scheunpflug, Lena Eich and Marina Wagener (University of Bamberg). Available to book in November.
Global Education in Latin America. MAR 9, 14:00 - 15:30. Modelled on sessions from the ANGEL Conference 2021, this session will feature a number of short presentations from academics across Latin America, and aims to highlight and analyse regional differences in the development and implementation of global learning policies and practices. This session is developed and hosted by La Salete Coelho (University of Porto & Polytechnic of Viana do Castelo) and Adelina Calvo Salvador (Universidad de Cantabria). Available to book in November.
Hospicing Modernity: Facing Humanity’s Wrongs and the Implications for Social Activism. May 10, 16:30 - 17:45. Vanessa de Oliveira Andreotti (University of British Columbia) will deliver a research seminar based on her new book that brings together stories and exercises related to facing volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity in our challenging times.
