Literature meets Computer Science

I recently encountered an interesting and impressive match between Literature and Computer Science.

The literature in this case is "Dream of the Red Mansion" and the Computer Science is IDNs (Internationalised Domain Names).

I discovered that there is a set of single page webpages where each webpage describes a character from the novel and the IDN for each webpage is of the form "Name of Character'.网址

网址 means website and is a TLD (Top Level Domain). Here are the IDNs for the three principle characters of the novel

Jia Baoyu 贾宝玉  贾宝玉.网址

Lin Daiyu 林黛玉  林黛玉.网址

Xue Baochai 薛宝钗 薛宝钗.网址
