In addition to my work on internationalization of the Computer Science curriculum I am now going to also embrace internationalization/Localization of the Mathematics curriculum😀
Next academic year I will be supervising a student final year project entitled "An Exploration of Internationalisation of Mathematics". A student has already ethusiastically committed to this project.
I have a heap of ideas and thoughts for this project. It will consist of a number of explorations, such as:
② Counting units of 10000 (China, Japan, Korea) v counting units of 1000 (The West)
③ Mathematical operators in Unicode
④ ...and more...
Any mathematicians on this list?
