| Mark you diaries for ANGEL Summer School |
|
The 2022 version of the traditional ANGEL Early Career Researcher event will take the form of a 'Summer School', organised in cooperation with the UNESCO Chair in GCE in Higher Education, at the University of Bologna. This immersive summer school, to be held on June 20-24, will focus on methodological approaches to research on Global Education and Learning (GEL). It will aim to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills to explore GEL, with a focus on systematic approaches to exploring academic literature. The location is the Bertinoro conference centre of the University of Bologna, located within a historical castle in an isolated hilltop village near Bologna. Further information, including about how to book, will be circulated in the New Year. Priority will be given to Doctoral students and post-docs who graduated within the last 5 years.See a summary of the 2020 event here |

 | Some Inspirational Holiday ReadingThis being the year of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Paulo Freire, and also a time when, so the story goes, angels went about spreading signs of hope, we thought this recent article by the Chairperson of ANGEL, and an old friend of GENE, Professor Doug Bourn, on a Pedagogy of Hope and re-reading Freire, might be an interesting and inspiring read for the holidays. |
