Yesterday I discovered the DITE (Diverse Internationalisation of Teacher Education)
https://dite.usz.edu.pl ➜
dite.usz.edu.pl
I consider this is an opportunity to get Computer Science/IT teaching internationalisation on the agenda, a subject for discussion and eventually on the curriculum.
There are many aspects, technologies and programming techniques involved in software internationalisation (i18n) and localisation (L10n). In my first response to DITE I have focussed on Unicode which is an essential and core technology for software i18n & L10n.
Teaching CS/IT teachers about Unicode and how to program with Unicode is a very good first step.
