I've also been fooling around with talking to the watch from my (Mac)
laptop. I did a quick fork of Travis Goodspeed's PyMetaWatch python
code in order to fix some issues and make it work with the "lightblue"
library on Mac OS X:

So far I've tested the vibration stuff and the time/configuration
stuff, and they seem to work.
