Nicktoons Basketball is a video game for the PC, released in September 11, 2004. It is based on many Nickelodeon animated series. It is the third Nicktoon game to be released by ImaginEngine, and also the first by Digital Eclipse.

Nicktoons Basketball is a 2004 sports video game developed by Digital Eclipse and published by THQ that was released for Microsoft Windows. The game is a crossover between several Nicktoons as they play basketball together.

I grew up watching Nickelodeon shows like Spongebob Squarepants, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, and Rugrats. I even played some of the games like Spongebob Squarepants: Lights, Camera, Pants! and Nicktoons Basketball. There was something about those games that sparked a fanfic-like imagination of seeing characters come together to play basketball or seeing the Spongebob gang compete for parts in a movie. Unfortunately, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix failed to conceal its corporateness and let loose the imagination of these beloved cartoon characters.

The first thing you will notice is that there are many game modes for you to explore. We suggest you practice in the Quick Match mode, then move on to more complex types of gameplay. Pick the desired number of players and a difficulty level, then start playing! The winner is the first one to score 21 points in 8 minutes. Are you ready to try?

Begin by picking your favorite character! The 12 options are some of the coolest protagonists from series like the SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and The Loud House. Each one of them has a different Mega Dunk move. Wouldn't it be cool to discover all of them?

Do you know how to play basketball? Thankfully, this game makes things much easier than in real life. Move by using the Left and Right Arrow Keys, and jump by pressing the Up Arrow. You can even double jump! Once you take hold of the ball, you can shoot by pressing the Spacebar. Do the same if you want to steal the ball from an enemy!

Do you want to score many points fast? Once you get near the hoop, press the Spacebar and the Up Arrow to perform a Slam Dunk. What is more, you can even score a Mega Dunk if you manage to fill up the bar at the bottom right corner of the screen. Any cool moves you do will be rewarded with a poster in the Hall of Fame!

One of the coolest features of this game is that you can play on an unconventional basketball court. Have you noticed that there is a platform in the middle of the field? The Championship Mode gives you the chance to play six consecutive matches with enemies of increasing difficulty. The games will be 1 vs. 1, so you can't rely on your teammates to save you. Finally, you can experience the All-Stars Mode. By far, this is one of the best features of the game! You can pick a team of two, three, or four members, then choose the version of the game that best fits your mood. You have three options: a 3 point shootout, a dunk challenge, or a round of H.O.R.S.E. The latter consists of you and your foes taking turns to shoot from different locations. Aren't you excited to try them all? With so many gameplay options, you'll surely be glued to the keyboard for hours!

Nicktoons Basketball is an entertaining game for kids in which you can select your favorite Nicktoons characters to form a basketball team and play for hours. The game allows you to play an 3-on-3 exhibition game or an entire season. It features astonishing colorful graphics, with different scenarios and locations, which make the game even more fun and attractive. You will have to practice hard if you want to make it to the playoffs, play with the best, and try to win the the ultimate Nicktoons trophy. You can create the team you want, including the characters you love and make them play in different positions. All the characters have different abilities that you can use to defeat your opponent. So, if you master your team's different abilities, making those three-pointers will be a lot easier. Players don't really answer to the laws of physics, so jumping around to block shots or dunk like MJ is really easy. Also, since this game is for kids, they don't really want a realistic experience. Unfortunately, there's not a trial version available, but you can be sure that your kids are going to love this game. It supports Windows 98/ME/XP.
