SoI figured out in minecraft 1.14.2 version how to make a virus that infects players and every entity possible. This Virus is highly configurable, and can be harmless or destructive. Please note that to do this on a server or realms, you need to be able to place and edit command blocks and use the /execute and /tag commands. To start, first do /tag @s add Carrier This tags yourself as the carrier of the virus. The carrier need not be you, in which case you would replace "@s" with any player or entity. The carrier can spread the virus around, but isn't affected by it. Next, you need to place a command block and place in it the following command: execute as @e[tag=Carrier] at @e[tag=Carrier] run tag @e[tag=!Carrier,distance=..2] add X
Set that command block to repeat, unconditional, and always active. This command tags all entities within 2 blocks of the carrier as "infected" (you can change X into any tag you'd like). Next, you need to place another command block somewhere else with the following command:
execute as @e[tag=X] at @e[tag=X] run tag @e[tag=!Carrier,distance=..2] add X This should also be in a command block designated as repeating, unconditional, and always active. What this does is allow for infected entities to spread the virus to those who aren't infected and who aren't carriers.
Now for the fun Part; as of right now, the virus doesn't do anything, but this is where we change that...to do this, place a third command block with this command: effect give @e[tag=X] minecraft:blindness 600 5 This is just an example, but what it does is makes the infected unable to see in front of them...you can give any effect to them to customize the virus. Make sure this command block also repeats unconditionally and is always active. Have Fun!!!
When people think of Minecraft, they think of a fun sandbox game. What do I think about it? One of the creepiest games out there. I'll tell you of my encounter with a mysterious being called, "Virus."
I loaded up a new survival world to play in. I did the normal things, chop down wood, mine coal and iron, build a house, that stuff. Then my screen started glitching, and then it stopped. My antivirus software opened and told me I had a virus. Then it said, "All clear! No viruses." Why would it tell me it had a virus if there was no virus?
I just kept on playing and ignored what happened. Then my screen started loading up images of binary code. What was wrong with Minecraft? Then something appeared on the chat. the chat was spammed with peices of binary code. I took the code into a binary translator, and it translated to, "BYE." I was getting scared. The chat was spammed with diffrent code. I translated that, and it said. "ENDGAME." Would it destroy my computer? the screen started glitching. I closed Minecraft. Then a bunch of my anti virus software windows opened, and those screens were glitched. I was scared. Minecraft then opened on it's own, and loaded up my world. I met a strange user, whose skin was just binary code. He said,
Then the screen started glitching and was loading up creepy pictures of dead minecraft skins. I was freaked out. I turned off the computer and went outside to think about what he said. I had a hunch that it was him we should fear.
It had been a month since the encounter, and since I had played Minecraft. I was convinced that I could play again without meeting the mysterious user. I turned on my computer, loaded up a new survival world, and began to play. Nothing had happened. No glitchy screens, no antivirus windows popping up randomly. Everything was fine. Maybe he was gone. But then I remembered what he said.
What did that mean? Would he come again? I began to feel afraid, Thinking that he would pop out of no where. I thought I should find some diamonds just in case. I went to a cave and looked for diamonds. Instead, I found blood, and villagers murdered. I was dead silent. Frozen and shocked. Fear crawled up my back as I remembered his words. "THE TIME IS NEAR FOR USERS TO FEAR." I walked deeper into the cave to find the diamonds. Then, I found some. I quickly mined them and rushed out of the cave. When I got outside, I saw 2 other users building houses. The sky was a dark red.
HI, my name is Daren. I have an Xbox, and I love to play Minecraft. But just recently, my other friend Logan told me about meeting this dude called, "Virus," and that I shouldn't play Minecraft. I knew he was joking with me. There is no way that could be real.
I got home from school and turned on my Xbox. I loaded up Minecraft and made a new survival world. Everything was nice and fine, nothing strange happened. Then, the sky turned dark red. This wasn't a normal color for the sky in Minecraft. I thought it might have been a new update. Then the ground started flashing between redstone blocks and grass. Then it stopped, and the sky turned blue again. Were the creators trolling me? It was the only explanation that came to mind. I walked into a cave and found some iron, coal, and gold. I went deeper but was greeted with a bunch of villagers murdered in cold blood. Logan told me about this. Maybe he was right? Or maybe this was a new update. I didn't know. I went deeper and ran into a creeper that was glitchy. I killed it and it dropped 10 gunpower. That's not normal. I went deeper hoping I would find diamonds. I did, except it was weird. The diamonds were flashing red and green. Maybe this was a new thing better than diamonds? I mined some, and when I mined the last one, I saw a figure behind it. A figure covered in binary code.
I ran out of the cave as fast as I could. I looked at the mysterious diamond things i found. Apparently, they were called "Binarium." I crafted a sword and a pickaxe out of them. I looked at the damage the sword could deal, and it could do 10 damage. That meant hitting a player 2 times would kill them. It was overpowered. I tried mining some ore with the Binarium Pickaxe, and it mined as fast as breaking things in creative. Maybe it would kill Virus? I went outside and was greeted by Virus. A message popped up on the screen, saying:
However, when I go to the download link, McAfee Siteadvisor immediately warns me that the site is malicious. I could configure it to let me go through, but it doesn't make me feel good. If this computer gets infected with a virus, then much would be lost. I would really like to know if this is safe to download (since many play with mods).
None of there actual advisor software actually works, hell they can't even poll a file from our servers to verify themselves correctly. They blame it on the fact that we support BOTH ipv4 and ipv6, which confuses there scripts that were written 8 years ago -.-
As for downloading other mods, ONLY get them from the Minecraft Forums, Curse, or here. 90% of the results for 'minecraft mods' on google are spam/virus/crap infested sites that steal mods from us and exploit you kids. Its sick and annoying but welcome to the internet -.-
yeah I'm having a similar problem, my antivirus keeps deleting the installer due to either poor reputation or it detects malware. would love to get forge installed but I trust my antivirus and will not be downloading forge until they announce a fix.
A couple of days ago I was attacked by a virus that stole most of my accounts (gmail, steam, epicgames, minecraft, and probably others I haven't realized yet). Due to the paranoia that let me be affected to this level for the first time in almost 15 years surfing the internet and playing games, I decided to do a complete format of my pc but first I backed up my minecraft modpack with the worlds and almost all the .minecraft folder and the server folder that I hosted myself on my pc to play with my girlfriend. After formatting I went about recovering my accounts and managed to recover most of them except for Minecraft, which I didn't give much importance to since I have Xbox Game Pass so I have another account since the attacker didn't steal my microsoft account which is logged into windows. Today I tried to play with my girlfriend on the server and it was abruptly closed by malwarebytes throwing me an alert that said "java malicious inbound socket detected" without further information, I assumed that the server had been infected with the virus and I gave it up for lost. Now I tried to play Minecraft in single player mode and as soon as I entered the world the game closed and Malwarebytes detected "Malware.Ransom.Agent.Generic". It is worth noting that I never opened these two files before having Malwarebytes installed, and according to me the virus that affected me before was not through Minecraft or the server I created, as I am almost 100% sure it was an .exe that I foolishly opened even though windows defender had blocked it, as many times windows defender detected safe programs as viruses. But back on topic I am quite worried that Malwarebytes detects my minecraft server and even the game itself as a ransomware. Is this detection a false positive or should I be worried about this? Can I somehow clean my server and minecraft or should I definitely write them off, delete them and create a new modpack and a new server? I need help please. Also i'm sorry for my bad english, it is not my primary language.
