I'm a little disappointed as I went and started the game again as a man character in order to marry a girl named Muiri from the Hags Cure. But after I married her I realised she was quite a boring wife with very little interactive menu options. all she really does is cook an apple pie each day for me. I like apple pies, but still... I was hoping for a spouse I could take on quests with me, apparently she cant do that? or can she?
So now I'm thinking I should marry the Vampire chick from the first Dawnguard quest (can't recall her name, Corana or Something), she seems to have more character then many of the other characters, just as long as she is able to marry and follow me on quests?
Check this table. Just make sure "Follower" is "Yes" and you'll be all set with whoever you choose.
You can't (normally) marry Serana (Dawnguard chick), but she is a potential follower. You can use the following console commands to marry anyone, though...
I know that ultimately its up to me, but I would like your opinion... Obviously Serana has more personality, but Muiri is better looking (in my opinion), who would YOU choose as a wife, knowing that either could follow you? Muiri or Serana? Big Question, right? At the present moment im thinking Serana. She is very cool: She makes me laugh when I'm talking to someone and she walks in front of me wielding her magic in one hand and trying to attract attention to herself; like, look at me! and of course her vocabulary is more extensive as well. I guess I would only marry Muiri for her cute looks, unless her vocabulary increases when she is a follower?
mmm... I tend to agree. I will go with Serana and let you know how it goes, but before I do I need to ask, does it matter what stage I put in the above console commands to marry her, or can I do it any time? Haven't finished with her quest lines yet. her daddy is still alive.
It didn't work. I don't know what im doing wrong. I should have told you that I have already gotten rid of my old wife (Muiri) by going back to a save point before I married her, so all that I need now are the codes to marry Serana...
I then tried some other codes I found while surfing the web, which apparently allows a player to marry anyone in skyrim, but those codes didn't work on Serana either. And then after a few more hours of playing the game I had my newest house carl "Valdimar" hit on me. sure, he's a nice guy, but I probably don't need to tell you why I thought that a man hitting on a man in Skyrim didn't seem to sit quite right.
At one point I even tried remarrying Muiri before entering the codes you gave me but, after marrying that pie baking dull dame again, I couldn't find her anywhere in the whole damn land! she just disappeared!
2. I did not enter Seranas ID code anywhere, was I meant to? I mean the Code that came up when I clicked on her? (I did try entering her code while trying to marry her with a different set of console cheats I found on the web, but her code came up as Invalid.)
1. (I had no wife any more.) so I just went into console and clicked on Serana.
2. I placed each of the codes in, hitting the enter button each time, yes, separately. ( I did not go out then back into console each time?)
3. As I put in the steps, no writing came up on screen to say I was progressing through quests...
4. When I was done, I went out of console and clicked on Serana again to see if she had the marriage dialogue. No.
Question:
1. Was I meant to be married to someone else in order for the procedure to work?
2. I did not enter Seranas ID code anywhere, was I meant to? I mean the Code that came up when I clicked on her? (I did try entering her code while trying to marry her with a different set of console cheats I found on the web, but her code came up as Invalid.)
Trying to breakup with partners is, for some reason, impossible without the console. Searching for help "breakup" 4 will bring up dialogue and quests that show reference to what must have been the original intention of breaking up with a spouse.
You can divorce. If she's a follower, take her to a secluded area. If she's not, you have to do this in your own house. Become a werewolf kill her and eat her body. If there's any witnesses, kill them and eat their bodies too. The game will make you mourn for a while depending on how long you were married, but eventually you will be able to remarry provided the body is gone and you get away with the murder.
Now you must find an NPC in whom you have an interest (A list of eligible NPCs can be found here). The person that you wish to marry must have a high disposition towards you. This can be achieved by doing favors and completing quests for that character. When you have met your ideal spouse, you must approach them while wearing the amulet. This will give you new dialogue options concerning marriage. Ask the person to marry you. If they agree, you will need to organize a wedding ceremony. Return to Maramal to tell him that you are interested in getting married at the Temple of Mara. He will be delighted and will announce that the wedding will take place the very next day; from dawn until dusk.
Hey guys and gals. I've been attempting to get hitched to 2 different women at the same time by using console commands. I marry one successfully and then am able to get to the chapel for a second marriage while still married. But once we say our "I do's" the NPC walks away and her dialogue goes back to normal. Here's what I do to get to the chapel a second time.
By doing this after getting married once, I can put the amulet of mara on and NPC's become interested again, even the one i'm married to will have the dialogue. But like I said earlier, once we say our "I do's", thats it the NPC walks away when normally they ask where we should live. In the end I go home to my first faithful wife. If I were to add "resetquest 21382" to those commands (where I believe the "where should we live" dialogue comes in, it would reset even my current marriage. Anyone have any ideas?
Hi there,
There is no "I love you" dialogue option.
I have Vilja version 3.02,installed later in the game after marrying Lydia. The Lydia marriage was glitched, she disappeared right away, I could not find her, she was not at any of my houses.
After installing Vilja and completing her missions Vilja said something like 'It's a pity you're already married'. I've since done the console divorce, then Lydia appeared at one of the Heathfire houses.
Use one of the suggested divorce mods from Vilja's FAQ (which I have linked in my mini profile). Then continue playing Skyrim with Vilja, once you have finished with her main quest, her romance quest will start. You don't talk to Maramal to marry Vilja, you have to date her. If you have already finished Vilja's main quest, be patient, she can pop the topic any minute.
SPOILER: Click to showTalk to Beata in the Bannered Mare and tell her that the romance should have started, OROpen console, click on Vilja, enter:[/p][p]SetStage AAEMCompViljaRomance1 5[/p][p]SetFactionRank XX0845F8 1 (replace XX with Vilja's first 2 digits of FormID)
Note that if the name of your kingdom contains a space, then leave that out of the command as shown in the example. This console command give peace without any tributes as far as I know. I find this command quite useful since the state of the game there are so many war declarations without actual cause that I just had to find out how it actually worked.
This is the only way you can use this command. If you have marry_anyone disabled (default), running this command will enable it, allowing you to marry anyone in the game. If marry_anyone is already enabled, running this command will disable it.
To enter debug commands, you must install SMAPI (and not delete its bundled Console Commands mod). You can also install the Chat Commands mod to use debug commands through the in-game chat (trying without it will either silently fail, or show the response ConcernedApe: Nice try...).
Entering debug runmacro quickstart in the SMAPI console will execute all the commands, resulting in a backpack upgrade, money set to 10000g, farming skill set to level 1, and a Bone Sword added to the player's inventory. (Note: Money is capitalized in this example because if it is all lowercase it triggers a special chat response instead of executing the command.)
All known commands are listed below. Required parameters are listed in angle brackets and optional parameters are listed in square brackets. For example, the speed command is listed as speed [I:duration], which means the command requires an integer value parameter and optionally has another integer duration parameter. Details such as default values should be listed in the description.
The commands themselves are case-insensitive, but parameters may still be case-sensitive. If the description mentions that a parameter uses a "fuzzy" match, that means that it can match on a case-insensitive partial name. For example, any of the following 3 commands will set the player's friendship with Abigail to 500 points (2 hearts):
Outputs the parent sheet index (i.e. ID) of the specified item to the SMAPI console. This is a fuzzy search with similar behavior to the fuzzyitemnamed command. Weapons, Boots, and Hats are recognized but will not return the correct ID.
