 Registration for the 1st Annual IACS-UST Gathering

MAIN THEME: Asian Modernity, Social Movements, Gender/Sexuality, and Visual Culture
DATE: 3 May 2015
TIME: 13:00-18:00 
VENUE: Room 110, HA Building 2, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu City, Taiwan.

The 1st Annual IACS-UST Gathering is held as a platform for students and faculty under the International Institute for Cultural Studies-UST to congregate, share their learning experiences and receive feedback from the audience members. In this gathering, the IACS-UST students will have short presentations to share their research projects and/or their reflections over their study period. It is the aim of the gathering to bring students and faculty closer together, not only to appreciate the progress the students have made but also to connect with one another and set up network of affiliations among the students and faculty. Among the invitees are the IICS Director, Directors of the four clusters of research team under the IACS-UST, and staff of the IACS-UST. Students and professionals interested in Inter-Asia Cultural Studies are also welcomed to participate and enliven the event.

The procedure will be as: 
1. The gathering consists of four panels and each presenter will be given at most 10 minutes with a Q&A session for each panel (15 minutes for Panel A, B, and C, and 10 minutes for Panel D). 
2. After the student presentations, it will run a round table discussion set for participants’ inter-reference of diversified interpretations and personal experiences during the process of knowledge production not only among the IACS-UST Program but also within every articulation with the “Inter-Asia Cultural Studies” as open-ended and dynamical projects. 
3. The gathering will be followed by a buffet dinner in the HA Building Lobby.
